Posted on 10/23/2009 6:28:46 AM PDT by pansgold

HERE IS AN EMAIL JUST SENT TO PELOSI ABOUT HER LACK OF VOTES FOR THE GUMMIT OPTION AND HER "OPT OUT" PLAN requiring states to "PROVE" to her satisfaction the state has another plan SHE judges to be acceptable or they can't opt out of her plan.

===============

MA_DAMN SPEAKER,

ENOUGH! HOW ABOUT AN "OPT-IN"? WHY SHOULD THE STATES DO A DAMN THING AND JUMP THROUGH YOUR CIRCUS HOOP AND "PROVE" ANYTHING TO OPT OUT?

IT'S TIME YOU AND HARRY REID START LOOKING FOR WORK. IF YOU SURVIVE THE NEXT PRIMARY AND GET RE-ELECTED, THE REPUBLICAN SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE WILL LET YOU WATCH AS YOUR SOCIALIST DREAM IS DISMANTLED.

YOUR PROBLEM... YOU FORGOT WHAT THE WORD REPRESENT MEANS.

YOU AND HARRY REED ARE FINISHED IN POLITICS. GO BACK TO STOMPING GRAPES AND HARRY CAN GO BACK TO LAND DEALS.

Let her know what you think.

I hope the “Blue Dog Democrats” have the will to stop this madness.

There was a time not to many years ago when a politician actually voted the will of the majority of their constituents.

The only exceptions to “vote their conscience” was:

1.) The constituents were equally divided
2.) The constituent majority wanted was illegal
3.) Vote is based on information that was not made public

You should have mentioned that the CBO had a different opinion on the constitutionality of medical insurance mandates during Clinton administration.

The sharks are circling because they smell the blood in the water on Obamacare. The WH is living in mortal fear of the left and on issues such as Obamacare which is losing support on a daily basis, on Afghanistan which they seem they cannot make any decision on at all, on Russia and Iran, on North Korea, on Pakistan, on dealing with Dick Cheney, and on how to treat Fox News and many other issues. This WH and Obummer administration is so living in fear of everything and everybody, left and right and independent that they are coming apart at the seams and their plummeting poll numbers certainly reflect those fears. I believe their is a great deal of panic behind those WH doors.

Nancy Pelosi’s and her husbands link to Starkist and American Samoa should be front page news next year when she runs for re-election. She personally exempted American Samoa from the minimum wage increase in 2007, giving her husbands investment in Starist a boost as they became more competitive.

I’m sure I’ll be on the “watch list” for being in opposition and disrespectful.

You know how the Demo’s work. Just like demonizing FOX NEWS and trashing the First Amendment and discriminating against FOX and banning FOX from news events available to other news groups that tow the line.

I think the 0bama Administration is getting paranoid and stupid.

I loved the bit*h slap others gave the 0bama admin saying, no FOX NEWX no coverage by us.

fyi gidget7, in that you can include every person in the military since the oath says:

Pelosi will be reelected, and it won’t even be close. Her district is left-wing. Pelosi as a minority in a Republican CONSERVATIVE congress, she can sit on the sidelines for the next 6 years after she’s reelected.

What needs to happen is the turncoats in the Republican ranks need to be primaried out or outright defeated at election time. Truthfully I’d rather see a Democrat seated and know what I have than have a Republican like Snowe or a fence sitter.

"they never read t he emails or letters sent to them. They do not care about the people they work for."

No, but their staffs do, and add up the pros and cons and report the numbers back to their bosses.

Style points and clever new arguments are not important. One polite, direct and clearly worded sentence will do just fine. Beyond that, you are wasting your time.

will United States Code do?

10 USC

(a) Enlistment Oath.— Each person enlisting in an armed force shall take the following oath:
“I, XXXXXXXXXX, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
(b) Who May Administer.— The oath may be taken before the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary of Defense, any commissioned officer, or any other person designated under regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Defense

I'm well aware of the oath. I took and gave it many times over my 28 year career.

The oath you previously posted swore to the state. I had never heard that version. I looked it up and it is a National Guard oath.

Federal law requires everyone who enlists or re-enlists in the Armed Forces of the United States to take the enlistment oath. The oath of enlistment into the United States Armed Forces is administered by any commissioned officer to any person enlisting or re-enlisting for a term of service into any branch of the military. The officer asks the person, or persons, to raise their right hand and repeat the oath after him. The oath is traditionally performed in front of the United States Flag and other flags, such as the state flag, military branch flag, and unit guidon may be present.

In the Armed Forces EXCEPT the National Guard (Army or Air)

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

In the National Guard (Army or Air)

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of (STATE NAME) against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the Governor of (STATE NAME) and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to law and regulations. So help me God.

YES all the oaths do have it. SEE ABOVE^

Now what oath does NOT contain those words AS POSTED? Don’t spin off on a new topic about the NG and “state name” because that was not the topic.

No, they don't. See your own reference. Only the National Guard swears to the state.

And, as I said before, I need no lesson on military oaths. I said my first on in 1981. I took and gave the oath many times over the following 28 years.

I wish we had the luxury to do that, but Obama doesnt need more D's at this point. There needs to be a complete rejection of Zero in the midterm election as possible, and if we can't get C's then a few R's can fill out the numbers till they can be replaced. This midterm needs to be a total landslide for Conservatism. Then the ethics violations can be dealt with and let the chips fall where they may; D's and R's alike. Clean house. A new Conservative party can rise from the ashes.
