In an interview with CNN's John King on Sunday, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said President Obama is now asking tough questions about Afghanistan "that have never been asked on the civilian side, the political side, the military side and the strategic side." It was a not so subtle dig at Mr. Obama's predecessor and was meant to distract from the White House's mishandling of the war.
The Bush administration did in fact conduct a top-to-bottom strategic review of Afghanistan in 2008. That review was provoked by two developments...

Bbbwwahahahahahaha!!!
What he says is useful, but only to people who know to look not at what he says but to analyze why he said it and what he wants.
Other than that, these guys are such tools .....
Thwe true scum of the demoGenerates are leading BNary Il;legitimate around by his nosem, and are demanding that he turn Afghanistan into another Viet Nam defeat for the U.S. by doing exactly what the Democrats did, to lose then. Micromanage, undrsupport, defund, and betray our allies. All in the name of “Peace” and “Love”..but was actually spinelessness, and lack of any moral character, that was instilled by the Left, into the gullible young.

Wonder if Rahn would care to discuss his statement with those of Cheneys???
That sound you hear is Dick Cheney slapping down Obama bigtime
In the fall of 2008, fully aware of the need to meet new challenges being posed by the Taliban, we dug into every aspect of Afghanistan policy, assembling a team that traveled to Pakistan and Afghanistan, reviewing options and recommendations, and briefing President-elect Obamas team. They asked us not to announce our findings publicly, and we agreed, giving them the benefit of our work and the benefit of the doubt. The new strategy they embraced in March (2009), with a focus on counterinsurgency and an increase in the numbers of troops, bears a striking resemblance to the strategy we passed to them. They made a decision a good one, I think and sent a commander into the field to implement it.
Now they seem to be pulling back and blaming others for their failure
It must be tough. If Obama adds troops, his base will revolt. If he says no additional troops are necessary right now, he’s completely undercutting his argument that President Bush’s main error was not putting enough troops into Afghanistan.
Agreed. He is in a predicament.
Now, he is dithering, Hamlet style: "Do I do the right thing, or do I not do the right thing"?
It would be comical were American lives not at stake.
I cannot love Dick Cheney more.
Obama has made his decision, to put off, to delay, to watch casualties rise and then the AMerican people in their collective foolishness will demand withdrawal. He has decided.
I cannot hate Obama more.
I think our President does not have a clue.......he only reads what is in front of him and has no vision.
While I totally agree with you, there is a lot more.
He's the "Mombasa Candidate", is thoughtless and is now being totally manipulated by his "handlers" like Emanuel, Jarrett, Dunn and Axelrod.
