Western Kansas/Eastern Colorado is one of the worst places to get stuck in the snow if you are driving. If you can’t get there by the time the storm hits, don’t go.

No question about it. Global warming theory is a complete hoax pushed by supporters of global income/resource redistribution and global government. Academia is filled with a large number of those left-wing radical nuts, even in the science departments. We have to stand strong with the business community and defeat the horrific cap and trade bill.

And here in Western PA, we had 71 degrees this afternoon...forecasted high tomorrow of about 70.

If I were in Kansas now, I’d want some of that global warming. *Smirk*

I fully expect that here in SW Washington, where weather forecasters are predicting a “mild winter” due to a “weak El Nino”, that come February the Columbia River will freeze solid for the first time since 1846 and snowfall will break records back to before the Great Missoula Ice Dam broke.

I’d expect the lowest temperatures on the Eastern Seaboard in recorded history about the time Israel takes on Iran and spikes oil prices up to $400 a barrel and home heating oil to ten bucks a gallon....

Here’s a link to an animated Doppler radar weather map. It’s from the Weather Channel website:

Years ago I remember driving through that area in a torrential rain with thunder and lightning such as I'd never seen before. We pulled over (hoping and praying we were off the highway) because we lost visibility to drive. No one drove by and eventually it subsided, but you are correct, Western Kansas/Eastern Colorado gets "weather" better left unexperienced.

I mowed the lawn today. But it’s our last really nice day today for a while. The ladybugs are driving me nuts.

I drove across 40 through OKC to ABQ and that wasn’t hapenning. It was DEC 1985. Ouch. Lot’s of snow and icy and the interstate was closed. I wonder if the soot of the 1900 business caused that? Pay attention Kos kids.

I’m going to get a big laugh out of it if the UN’s global warming conference in Copenhagen is disrupted by sub-zero temperatures and blizzards. I really hope that happens just for the comic relief.

Lot’s of snow and icy and the interstate was closed.

We had relatives in the midwest back in the 70's (when I was much younger and didn't mind driving long stretches) and I recollect driving that stretch many times before and after road closures due to the snow and ice.

Pay attention Kos kids.

They're all "the sky is falling - the sky is falling" believers. Maybe they all read Chicken Little or some such book too often back then and the memory imprinted upon their impressionable little brains....? (sarc).
