Grayson: Republicans are 'the enemy of America' By Jordan Fabian - 10/21/09 06:19 PM ET

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) fired his latest salvo at Republicans on Wednesday evening, calling them "the enemy of America."

The congressman, who gained attention for saying the GOP's health plan is for the ill to "die quickly," made his remark in response to Sen. Lamar Alexander's (R-Tenn.) comment today warning the Obama administration to not draft a Nixonian "enemies list."

Grayson said on MSNBC that the GOP is the enemy of anybody who wants "anything good for this country," including healthcare reform, climate change legislation and "anyone who wants peace."

He also took a swipe at Fox News, saying that 99 percent of Americans have the "good sense" not to tune into the network.

Would love to see the one or two democrats in Congress, who are not deranged and or infantile, stand up.

I would love to be able to think there are more than that, but I deal in reality, would need proof.

I take it that Grayson’s America would resemble Castro’s Cuba. They have a national health plan, virtually no pollution, no barons accumulating profits and any dissenters are securely locked away.

Folks, Grayson knows what he's doing. He's trying to shame the other Republicans into denouncing FOX and conservatives. He is the go-to guy for the Left to keep Obama and the Dems relevant.

The best Republicans can do is ignore him, and in doing so it'll make him look like a kook to his district.

This waste of a sperm cell is inciting hate towards anyone not lapping up 0bama’s “Communism is the best change for America” dogma.

IMO he intends to press as far as it takes to incite a physical conflict and then he can call down the dogs from 0bama.

Nothing short of civil war will satisfy him, and yet he goes unrestrained?

Does anyone else have the feeling that this congressman is unhinged? Is he a member of the lunatic fringe?

I know you can’t always take people literally, but certainly he knows that 99% of America is not skeptical of Fox News. Don’t the Democrat talking points mention that Fox News ratings are higher than all other cable news channels combined?

So in response to Sen. Alexander warning the White House not to go down the road of having an enemies list, this unhinged congressman clearly labels the entire Republican party as the enemy? Rather than trying to alleviate suspicions about these Democrats keeping score and tracking political enemies, this guy confirms it big time?????

I was just reading his bio at his web page.
Pitiful. Disjointed. Full of useless info.
Highlights:

Our Congressman, Alan Grayson, grew up in the tenements in the Bronx. It was a hard life. He had to be a fighter to survive.

Alan was a sick child. His mother took him to the hospital four times a week, for treatment. Without health coverage, he would not be alive today. He remembers that.

Alan rode the subway to school each day, and he worked hard.

By passing a test, he was admitted to an exclusive public high school.

For Alan, life at Harvard wasn’t easy. Alan cleaned toilets, and worked as a night watchman.

Shortly after he left school, Alan formed such an organization: the Alliance for Aging Research. Alan served as an officer of the Alliance for 22 years. Alan’s Alliance has increased federal support for aging research by 500%, leading to breakthroughs in the treatment of blindness, weak bones, Alzheimer’s disease, and other afflictions of the elderly.

[********NB- he is taking some major credit here. Wonder if there is anyway this can be verified.? IOW did these break throughs occur because of the Alliance? That is what he is claiming.****]

Alan and his wife also decided to move to Orlando, and raise a family. Their first child, Skye, was born in 1995. Now they have five children: Skye, Star, Sage, Storm and Stone. Storm and Stone, twins, were born in 2005.

Strange, the kids are named and the wife is not. So many unique names starting with ‘S.’ Is his wife’s name is Stupid?

BTW, sounds as if one of his kids wrote this bio.
http://grayson.house.gov/about/
The rest of his website is just as weird.

Memo to all elected Republicans: Job 1 is to defend your constituents from being slandered by insults nominally directed at you.

Remember Jack Kemp? Bless his soul, he was a wonderful man and a great leader - but what happened when he debated Al Gore? Mr. Kemp accepted compliments from Gore which were insults to anyone voting for Kemp. The VP debate was a last-ditch chance for the Dole/Kemp ticket to be competitive. After that fiasco the ticket was fork-ready.

Defend your voters! It also happens to be the best defense for yourself.

My guess is half the people in the administration are left wing ideologues intent on imposing what they believe is “best” on the rest of us. The other half—mostly from the Chicago school of Democrat liberalism—are interested in getting their hands on as much cash as possible before they are booted out of DC.
