NEWARK, N.J. -- A private security guard at Newark Liberty International Airport was arrested on charges of threatening Barack Obama the night before the president was to fly there.
A Continental Airlines employee reported overhearing John Brek make threatening comments at an airport coffee cart Tuesday afternoon.
The 55-year-old security guard was arrested several hours later, Port Authority spokesman John Kelly said. He denied making the threats, said Malcolm Wiley, a spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service.
Obama will be in New Jersey on Wednesday to campaign for New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine.

And look for the Democrats in Congress to use this “incident” (or maybe non-incident) to require all security guards at all transit hubs to be federal employees.

Read thelink I just posted they searched his home and he had weapons. But this still does not make him guilty.

You read the link. It stated he had 43 guns and that they were all legal.

That’s not how presidents travel. AF-1 plus a couple of limo-carrying C-130’s are going to land at the end of the strip, and the motorcade will assemble onthe spot while the airport is under lockdown (no flights in/out).

My point was....where was the outrage and where were the "spies" in our midst when people were railing against Mr. Bush...suggesting he be decapitated and threatening him with harm during the last eight years?
Mr. Brek's father needs to learn one little something about being an American protected under The Constitution and its Second Amendment;

This is an interesting situation. Is is just one man's word against the other's? How do they know it isn't just some sort of revenge action against the accused man for some reason? Also, what exactly did he say? 'Threatening' could be sort of in the ear of the beholder, couldn't it? If the person hearing it is an Obamanite, ANYTHING negative about Obama could be construed as a threat, as we've seen in the media, lately.

I work @ the airport. He was security at gate J. We have made friends with this man. He is a very friendly outgoing person from what i know with working there and passing through his security check for the last 4 months. I just wanted to say the press pointing out his eye twitch is totally wrong. they make it into a “crazy” twitch when the man simply has a twitch, like many other people throughout the world. 1 quick last point before i start on a rant. The fencing he supposedly cut a hole in....IS CHAIN LINK!!

im sure he will lose his job. i just dont get it...what if someone wanted him out? wheres the proof? if they search his computer or find something else then ok..send him. if it is his word against someone elses...where is the proof? Also regarding security...he was one of the few that actually speak English, and checked the van without a cell phone in one hand.
