After seven years of forced silence, a government whistleblower is opening up on what she learned while working as a Turkish translator for the FBI in the wake of 9/11.
In sworn testimony to attorneys on Aug. 8, Sibel Edmonds described a Pentagon where key personnel helped pass defense secrets to foreign agents or provided them names of knowledgeable officials who were vulnerable to blackmail or co-option.
And firmly rooted in this espionage program in the 1990s, according to Edmonds deposition, were two men who, with the election of George W. Bush as president in 2000, found themselves in the Pentagon: Douglas Feith, who would head the Office of Special Plans, and Richard Perle, who would become chairman of the Defense Advisory Board. snip..
This woman is a nutcase. Certifiable, Perle said. She makes wild accusations. She was fired from her job, and has been on a vendetta against
imagined demons ever since.

From the linked article;
“When the FBI finally did act, in March 2002, it was to fire her. When she appealed her termination and eventually sued, the Justice Department, then under John Ashcroft, invoked a states secret privilege to prevent her from talking about what she knew. When Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, looked into her case and found it credible, Ashcroft invoked the same gag order on them.”
I seem to remember a whole bunch of leaks to the NYSlimes and WaPo coming out from disaffected Dhims within both NSA and CIA...so this wouldn’t surprise me a bit.
I remember this at the time. There is lots of corroboration. Only question is will it do any good?
Hmmmm, let’s see. This story just happens to come out a day after the Nozette allegations.
And in paragraph three, “...firmly rooted in this espionage program in the 1990s, according to Edmonds deposition, were two men who, with the election of George W. Bush as president in 2000, found themselves in the Pentagon: Douglas Feith, who would head the Office of Special Plans, and Richard Perle, who would become chairman of the Defense Advisory Board.”
Translation: NEOCON CABAL FIGHTING ISRAEL’S WARS ALERT!!!
I’m starting to smell something and it doesn’t smell good...
1. Look over her shoulder and seek protection.
2. Write a book and provide all the names and details.
This looks like another classic example to use the benefits of freedom against ourselves.
I am reserving judgment on this...when the federal government finally decides to fire an employee, the amount of goods they have on someone would boil the brains of your average small business owner.
“This story just happens to come out a day after the Nozette allegations.”
Actually, this story came out a long time ago. Years I think. She just gave the deposition, but her story has been out there, without the dep, for a couple years, at least.
As an incidental, she’s a dead ringer for one of my old girlfriends! Amazing likeness.
An Arab American going after an American Jew, and one who did a lot to question, quite rightly, the conclusions of the intelligence analysts, after 911 - that was Doug’s main job; making the analysts take a second look, a different look, a different view, instead of re-gurgitating stale ideas as if they were unquestionable. Maybe some of her friends were among those whom Doug sent back for a second look at their intelligence product.
My guess is that she is just another peacenik trying to get back at “neocons”.

My guess is she thinks since he’s a Jew he was passing “secrets” to Israel.
Douglas: Richard, where the hell are we?
Richard: I don't know but it's a heck of a big place and full of busy people in uniform.
It's all about the Jooooooz!
When you say something like this under oath it certainly changes the complexion of things. Lying about this would put her away...
I believe lots and lots of her original claims, but the waters have become a little muddied ever since some lefty film makers have started to back her.
It’s too bad because with their backing and influence now I don’t know how much of the new stuff to believe..
At first she was sort of a lone hero, but then after some of her claims casually touched Condi Rice, the left went into paroxysms of joy for her story, and now it has really metastasized.
Some of her info regarding efforts by Turkey to blackmail a lesbo US senator are pretty gripping actually. This lefty senator had been holding up some US-Turkish arms deals, and had also backed US recognition of the genocide against the Armenians —they couldn’t have her do that.
So they sent some female hotty to do some sexy stuff in a DC townhouse, and they got it all on film, with the intended effect. In fact, the Turks were so intent on getting the take just right that they had two different collection teams set everything up and record it —they were careful in the extreme.
There is a lot more to it. She was soldiering out there alone for awhile, fired, but then she testified before congress and without thinking about it first she dropped Condi Rice’s name.
So the left smelled blood in the water, and sensed they could use this fired woman’s story as part of a much bigger charge that the US had known about 9-11, or should have, and just how they got from that first step to the second is....pretty unclear to me.
But with this unforeseen tidal wave of support from the US left, she has been swept up in something bigger, and....now I just don’t know.
Where there’s smoke, there could be someone hittin’ a doobie. Thanks Pharmboy.
Can't wait to see how the New York Times handles this story...
