(IsraelNN.com) An Arab driver who killed a little Jewish girl riding her bicycle near the synagogue in Kfar Tavor on Yom Kippur Eve in 2007 was sentenced to nine years in prison on Tuesday. His accomplice was sentenced to just two years in jail, longer than the time that has already passed since the event.
On Yom Kippur eve, when the Kol Nidrei service began and the streets were empty, the two Arabs entered Kfar Tavor at high speed on the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and headed directly for a group of children milling about near the synagogue on their bicycles. They executed a wheelie and smashed into nine-year-old Tal Zino, killing her.

Years!!!!!! why not 9 Grams of Lead?
Only 9
I can’t resist...
Headline:
Arab “sideshow” ends in death of innocent.
Seems it always ends that way.
he gets one year of free room and board in exchange for each year of her life. another muslim hero
Wow.
Nine years.
If Israel doesn’t value its children, why should I?
I guess they need terrorists to exchange for kidnapped IDF
soldiers.
Was it wilful murder or the tragic result of a jackass showing off ? With the sentence given, sounds like the latter.
9mm and bury him in pigskin under the jail!
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

This gets more and more like 1930’s Germany and don’t forget what they did to Dudetanland.....same propaganda I’m willing to me the Mufti of ZJerusalem hassini the jew hater himself is still moving papers only this time in the unUnited nations...shalom my left metatarsal.
And this is not?
“It is better and more satisfactory to acquit a thousand guilty persons than to put a single innocent one to death.” (Maimonides)
To my knowledge, while the death penalty is still on the books in Israel, it is limited to Shoa-type genocide crimes and treason and been used a handful of times.
Adolf Eichmann is the only one I can think of being killed off the top of my head.
I am Israeli and am pretty anti-death penalty myself. (Although, yes, I would probably gun this man down myself.)
G-d loves all people, including arab terrorists, and it is His decision when and if to take a life.
Accepting this makes us weaker in battle, perhaps, but right with G-d. And He will prevail.
Pretty much has to be genocide; large scale.
Well, it pretty much is the intent, right? Genocide, one Jew at a time. /sarc.

Nice Post Thank You.
God has given over to government the right to hold man accountable for their actions on this earth.
The Bible is not anti-capital punishment.
I am unaware that Prager is a Rabbi.
But yes, capital punishment is listed for a lot of things in the Torah, like working on Shabbos.
I am speaking more as an Israeli, not a Jewish scholar (although the love of life taught in Judaism informs me).
Two things are working here:
1. The Shoa casts a pretty big shadow in Israel. Governmental killing worries people.
2. Of the two people executed in Israel, one (treason during the war) was later proven an inncent man. 50% is a pretty bad track record.
Whoah... who was executed besides Eichman ?
(BTW, I am tongue-in-cheek about Prager, although for many of us, he is a significant moral teacher; isn't that what a Rabbi is?)
