Did Obama swing his own Nobel?
American Thinker ^ | October 20, 2009 | James Lewis

Napoleon famously crowned himself Emperor of France and its conquered European empire, which he was trying to spread to Russia, Britain and Egypt, in its brief moment of grandeur. I'm wondering if Obama also crowned himself Nobel Laureate right after the US election. That would fit his vainglorious persona and his famished ego, always hungry for more and more applause. Just wait till we see his Nobel PC Address being televised around the world. America is too little for Zero.

Obama obviously thinks of himself as a Man of Destiny, like Napoleon and quite a few other Saviors on Horseback. Men of Destiny don't wait for the world to recognize their superhuman virtues. They know it from the start, and by gum, the rest of the world better catch up quick. As Nicolas Sarkozy has said, Obama is "utterly immature... arrogant ... empty of all content." This is the Prez of France, who lives in a Heavenly Palace near the Avenue of the Heavenly Fields -- the Champs-Élysées. He's an expert on the swelled head, since every president of France is required to have one.

The latest rumor is that three of the five Norwegian political hacks on the PC Committee were against giving the golden bauble to Our Messiah (Peace Be Upon Him!) -- until something made them change their minds. The two members of the ruling party apparently talked the other three into making it "unanimous." Now they're all getting big flak and scurrying for cover...

I prefer to think of him as a man of destiny like Mussolini or Hitler or Stalin, but come to think of it, I don’t think he’s gonna get the unions to make Amtrak run on time.

What do Julius Caesar, Arafat, Clinton, Mussolini, Castro, and Napoleon have in common?

All Leos.

I warned everybody about giving “bad Leos” power.

Likely the nominee is kept secret. In any case, the Marxist networks usual approach to pushing forward their anti-West agenda is to get someone who’se not yet high profile to serve as frontmen for nominations, professional organization resolutions. Even as a front group those who wanteed the nomination were sillily premature in submitting the planned nomination before the pony left the gate. The craven Peace Prize committee members ought to take a hike.

I still believe that Obama was nominated for the prize shortly after the election and that enormous political pressure was placed on the committee to award the Peace prize to Obama. It was obvious that 3 of the 5 committee members were opposed and understood the ramifications of giving the prize to Obama for accomplishing nothing that awarding it to him would make them and the prize itself a total joke. Even though Gore's prize was ridiculous the committee could at least point to something he had done. Not the case with Obama.

I would believe that the committee was given the full Chicago shakedown by Rahm the hatchet. The truth may still come out.

Thats a VERY good question and I dont think anyone in the press has reported it. In fact this whole affair has gotten very little substantive press review. It was reported that the nomination time frame allowed him to be pres for only a few days. So, it would have had to be made no later than that to be w/i the rules. Id like to know if they bent them just for Barry. If not it most likely came right on the heels of his election. However, it would be most interesting to know who did the nominating and why. I suspect Pres Thin Skin would never allow the MSM to report such things b/c he has them on a very very short chain.

I think the Kenyan fixed the award because he wanted the million dollars. Nothing more complicated than that.

For the Left there is no integrity, no honesty, no truth and no morality outside of its lust for power. Three of the five Committee members apparently understood the big gamble they were taking. But they still gave in to the two pols from the Labour Party.
Why?
I don't know the answer.

Well, that was a waste of time.
