What would Mao do? White House press strategy is about absolute control
The Washington Times ^ | October 20, 2009 | Editorial

"What would Mao do?" seems to be the guiding question in White House communications strategy. Miss Dunn bragged that during the 2008 presidential campaign, "very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn't absolutely control." The Obama White House continues this drive for control using the tools of government, seeking to harness all means of communication and organize a Cultural Revolution Lite.

do not forget that they have appointed their radicals to places like the FCC.
It would come as no surprised if they try and not renew a license for fox saying it is not a news organisation thus then taking over all media.
Lets face it fox is the only one asking questions.

I remember that I came onto fox because I started hearing things what the other networks would not say and the amount of times I have heard bozo voters say “I never knew that” when I have pointed out the facts.

So, whaddya think, will Obama throw Dunn under the bus as this continues to backfire? The Mao stuff, the “we control the media” quote - she’s heading right out on the limb...

This is only going to help Fox. Will Obama look for a scapegoat for his dumb idea?

I think everyone is misinterpreting what Dunn said. It reads to me like she’s bragging about how well the members of the campaign disciplined themselves.

No one who talked to the press went off message. The campaign was able to control what was said to the media and who said it. No one leaked anything negative.

THIS ONE isn’t about controlling the media, it’s in reference to controlling what was presented to them.

I agree and disagree - message discipline is big for this crew and most of the time they demonstrate it well - repeating talking points to the point of non sequitr.

Still - they’re also a pack of control freaks who can’t stand anything off their script - flying into a Rahmsian rage when folks don’t roll over.

Looks like the WH is between a rock and a hard place right now. Because of Glenn Beck, the administration has had to let go or “let resign” at least 2 czars or admin members.

The trouble now is that since then, Fox News has been labeled an illegitimate news organization. So to fire Anita Dunn over something an illegitimate news organization says doesn’t make sense does it?

That would be like you and me running for cover because chicken little told us “the sky is falling!”

Saying one thing and doing another is not a problem for the ‘bama; the MSM stands mute. It’s like a tree falling in a forest when no one’s around. Look at health care funded abortion and illegals getting health care. He lies.
