(RINO) Graham Joins Kerry On Cap-And-Trade

Politics: Move over, John McCain and Olympia Snowe. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina is fast becoming the Democrats' favorite Republican as he partners with John Kerry to push cap-and-trade through the Senate.
Earlier this year, eight Republican congressmen made it possible for Waxman-Markey, the 1,400-page job- and economy-killing cap-and-trade legislation, to barely pass the House of Representatives. At the time it seemed dead on arrival in the Senate if it was brought up there this year.
Once again, as with their medical plan, the Democrats seek to better the odds by putting a GOP hood ornament on a Democratic clunker. On cap-and-trade, Olympia Snowe's role will be played by Graham as he partners with Kerry to commit the U.S. to the flawed science and disastrous economics of climate change.

From an op-ed by David Harsanyi:
Mavericks, well, they dismiss ideology because it would bind them to consistent and principled votes. Arizona Sen. John McCain often displays the muddled and mercurial thinking of a person with no political, intellectual or economic philosophy guiding him.
Now, replace Arizona Sen. John McCain with South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and I think we have it.

Definitely - and many in the GOP have suspected this to be fact for a long time. I guarantee the Dems have a one/two punch planned to win the governorship from Mark Sanford - pounding on his illicit affair (only dems are allowed to have them, ya know).
They've got Lindsey as their b*tch just like they've got McCain on audio & video selling out his fellow soldiers while under torture at the Hanoi Hilton. People will do anything for fame, fortune and to protect their so-called reputation.

The one question which will blow all the man made global warming advocates is this:
Who caused the global warming 11,000 years ago which melted 4 mile thick glaciers in the mid-west giving birth to the great lakes (largest body of fresh water on earth).
Unfortunately no one is asking that question!

This legislation is beyond simply bad. It's worse than socialist. It assumes the entire economy will not be allowed to grow (capped). "Oh, that's a lie; just CO2 is capped!" CO2 is business, and there is no green solution to get around this, period.
What remains of the economy is to be traded to large corporations--no small business could afford the credits. So, a small number of mega corporations tightly controlled by the federal government and a dead economy. This is not socialism; it is textbook fascism. Anyone who supports this is a traitor or an idiot. Despite what people think, senators are not idiots (Sen. Boxer excepted); they are evil.
This is one of the most dangerous pieces of legislation we have ever seen, akin to the Burning of the Reichstag. Absolutely scream at your "representatives" in Congress over this.
To: demkicker
Compromising pictures, or he's just a worthless little puke that needs to be bitch-slapped by the people of SC. I loathe these a-holes more than the most leftist Dems, because I expect the Dems to sell us out. Bastards like Linda Graham are nothing but sellouts to the people who voted and donated money to him. I'm sure they all voted for the guy with the "R" next to his name so he could side with the commiecrats on every important issue.
Where is the GOP leadership on these people? Why aren't they calling him/them out? Face it conservatives, we have no party. The GOP pays lip service to us, and nothing more, then they get down on their knees and service the Dem party.
I'm sick of this crap. Who the hell speaks for us? The GOP is nothing more than a label anymore, a label that has lost all of it's former meaning. Worthless, and a shell of its former self.

It’s not complicated. He knows McCain’s days are numbered in the Senate. He sees himself as McCain’s successor and wants to courted by both sides when he assumes the title of GOP Maverick. Not as liberal as Snowe but knows he gets the most press time when he’s sticking it to the GOP.

I think you hit the nail on the head about both Graham and McCain. Graham has always seemed too, shall we say, feminine. I’ve also long believed that we haven’t been given the whole story about McCain’s stay at the Hanoi Hilton.

WHy doesn’t lindsay just go on and join the dems officially? As well as the Maine senators and McCain? I would rather we start from scratch and get real conservatives than ones who believe the republican Party left them. Until we purge RINOS we will never have any guts to do the right thing collectively.

Political cross-dresser Lindsey Graham announces presidential candidacy! Tacitly, of course, but it's there if you look.
Borrowing the triangulation strategy from bff McCain, Graham is flipping for the NYT/CNN/WaPo/Daily Worker ink (and likely future endorsement for GOP pres candidate) by undermining GOP (and not-coincidentally American) causes.
Only one problem.
WE SEE RIGHT THROUGH IT!
Lindsey Graham.
You will NEVER, EVER get the nomination. One Obama victory was quite enough.
