In an amateur video that's shocking for its violence against a young girl, a House of Blues security guard repeatedly shoved a female concertgoer to the ground and roughed her up -- all because she took a photograph of him, police say.
Watch the video Here.
Darrell Gibson, 31, of Sauk Village, was arrested for misdemeanor battery.
Police would not confirm that Gibson worked for the House of Blues, but a spokesperson for the venue said that "an incident occurred on Monday night outside House of Blues involving an individual and a security guard" and that the venue would "cooperate fully with the authorities."
The video, taken on a nearby street after the concert Monday night, shows two young women in an altercation with the much-larger Gibson and two other security guards. One of the young girls is trying to get her digital camera back from Gibson, while the other tries to pull the guards off her friend
At one point, Gibson-- who is holding the camera at arms length while the girl yells at him to give her the camera back -- shoves the girl roughly to the ground, causing her to land flat on her back.
"Back the [expletive] up off me," says the guard.
"Call 911, seriously," says the girl.
This is not the first time the House of Blues' security staff has been accused of roughing up a female patron. In a lawsuit filed five days ago, plaintiff Kristen Chopp accused a HoB security officer for detaining her and battering her face and body
My mistake. Both videos are of the same incident.
“Darrell Gibson, 31, of Sauk Village, was arrested for misdemeanor battery.”
These Amish p;at rough...
The girls should go to prison for being spoiled brats.
Yup. Felony assault and battery and theft (if it was a high end camera, grand theft). For starters.
Then let the civil suit(s) fly...
This asshole needs a serious ass whooping and I would have given it to him. Though it looks like I would have been outnumbered by 3 Pricks.
They just continue with their bullshit and stealing cameras from people.
Serious Jail Time and a lawsuit for the HOB. This ain’t even going to be defensible.
Knocks a girl right to the ground? Don’t these guys learn grappling and pressure holds?
Even then he would have been in the wrong. You can’t swipe someone’s property and then another person’s property.
Are they on the payroll of O.J. Simpson? They will probably meet their boss in the showers.
Black man beating on a white woman...nope, nothing to see here...move on.
The HOB in Chicago is a dump.
Wait! That was Chicago? I was thinking Vegas and thought it was weird.
These girls aren’t going to get any satisfaction in Chicago.
This isn't the first time for this sort of thing at that venue. That'll be admissible as a 'pattern of conduct'.
L
I just went back and watched it again. I still would have stepped up to this asshole and his homies.
This guy needs a serious pounding and a year of watching Road House “Be Nice”
And twice a day of watching “My Fair Lady” to learn poise and grace:
“the rain in spain falls mainly on the plain”
I have a confession to make. I love My Fair Lady. Now that was a movie.
And you’re right. Those ‘security’ people need an ass whooping.
fine, then let him watch South Pacific. That is one crap Movie but has some of the best songs which remain timeless. On stage though it looks great.
I’m Gonna wash that man right out of my hair and send him on his way....
LOL
I have to think of something fun for a vanity post today. This is the second weekend in a row that the news is pretty much a dud.
Just something for everyone to have little fun with.
He will get a misdemeanor conviction and a serious ass kicking if that girl has a father worth his salt.
You are right. She should have just given the shit head her camera as told.
Show me the money!!!!
How much you wanna bet that the bouncer is an off duty cop?
Ordinarily it would not surprise me at all, but not likely or he would not have been arrested.
Well, thanks, I’m glad someone agrees with me.
I forgot the /s/. Sorry. I will try to find something else I can agree with you on. Probably won’t be cops nor rent-a-cops interacting with the bill of rights. :)
Here is you tube link for those like myself that can’t view the rigged videos at the nbc site.
