Fox talking head Glenn Beck has White House communications director Anita Dunn in his crosshairs, but the administration isn't exactly sweating. "I caught some of that from the Glenn Beck show yesterday, but I don't think anybody takes it—takes his attacks very seriously," the deputy White House press secretary said today of Beck's vitriolic reaction to a video in which Dunn says Mao Zedong is one of her "favorite political philosophers."
"We go day to day in this White House trying to ensure that people know the truth about the policies and programs and positions that the president holds, and we're going to continue to do that," Bill Burton told the Chicago Tribune on Air Force One en route to Texas.

This bunch knows what public education has taught in regards to Mao. And I do not believe they are ONE bit concerned that they have anyone saying that one of them is a follower of Mao. This woman put a ‘religious’ tone to her projection of Mao’s accomplishments. Look where she picked to hail Mao.

If they didn't take Glenn Beck very seriously, they wouldn't have declared WAR on Fox News. It's another case of this administration attempting to look cool, calm and collected and maintain rockstar status with his devotees while attempting to figure out ways to discredit and dismantle the only news source that isn't sucking up to him and his czars and enforcers advisors.
Frankly, Hildy, they don’t give a damn, because they no longer answer to the people anyway. The entire democrat party no longer answers to the America we belong to. The White House is TERRIFIED of Glenn Beck. I was reading today on another site that Glenn will be releasing some more info next week that can “Bring down the administration” dont know what he has but this is getting good. Whenever the White House says they are not scared of someone, they are TERRIFIED of them. Hint Hint, Sarah Palin, and we all know what Obama and his minions continue to do to her

I know an African American guy here in my town..really good guy. Like him a lot. He’s a really good chef and he kept talking about having his own restaurant. When Obama won I gave him his space..he was proud as a black man...I understand that. I told him I’d help him with paperwork and SBA loans and what not...we sit down to go over things and he informs me that because he is a black man, he will get money from the government. I asked him what the hell he is talking about and he told me that Obama promised that black people will get the money they need to start businesses. I’m not making this up. I took him to the website and you can’t believe how crestfallen he was hen it finally dawned on him that was not the deal. I’m still a little shocked by the whole thing.
The White House became aware of Beck's planned program about Dunn and arranged to have a puff piece placed in the Wa Po Style section (same day) stating in part that Dunn was already planning to leave the White House for another job?

What you say here is precisely what many, many folks are saying across this nation. Surely there must be some democrats who are as shocked at this president's agenda as the rest of us? Independents and democrats are (despite polls conducted in high concentration liberal areas of the nation) aghast with the health plan, cap and trade and the commies/socialists aligned with the leader of our nation, let alone his (and theirs by association) awe-struck admiration for despot type world leaders.
It's political suicide for democrats to blindly submit to Obama/Pelosi, but apparently they think constituents are just bluffing (and they are in for the biggest surprise of their political careers). Some elections (TN I believe is one state) already are replacing long held democrats with republicans.
What percent of voting Americans have a clue who Mao was and what his accomplishments were? See I remember during the Clintons administration that a certain person was assisting the now 'red' Chinese to gain missile technology. And the majority of Americans were not all that bothered about that transfer to assist our NOW bankers.
I do not think her Mao comments are going to have all that bad a reflection of BamaKennedy. Come on now the man said his health care plan would be about a panel deciding if old American grandmas should have a 'pill' instead of a 'procedure'.... And the majority of this nation yawned.

What a funny comic that would make. Imagine a long string of folks behind an Obama bus that have been run over by it and a string of folks in front (Anita included) getting ready to be next. Obama will run over her in a heartbeat if she becomes a political liability.
The puff piece was planted in expectation of return fire on Dunn's earlier comment about Fox. But Dunn's position has always been temporary so the fact she's leaving has nothing to do with Beck or Fox.
Instead of tracking down every single communist that is a part of the Obeymao administration, maybe Beck should just find out the few who aren’t, and report on that instead. It would take much less time.
This is actually good, because while even not using the "Beck Red Phone" (a BRILLIANT ploy by the Good Guys I might add), the White House has stepped into the trap by responding. Now we can punch holes in what they said and search for additional evidence, which will emerge, connecting this high Obama aide to Mao Zedong Thought. This is how we brought down Van Jones. It did not happen with the first swing, we needed the first denial out of the White House to then go on to show them up as liars. Had they not responded at all, that would have made our work more difficult. Now it will be a cake-walk. Here is where I am going:
Unfortunately for them, they are in a corner in one critical area regarding her comments, which they are conveniently ignorning but from which they cannot escape. I devoted another thread to it. And it is this.
Anita Dunn could get away with this, calling it a "joke" or "tongue in cheek" (in her case, the snake tongue makes quite an appearance). This would work if she had only stopped when she said that she considered Mao Zedong as one of her two favorite political philosophers. Here is where she screwed up:
She THEN went on to CONTEXTUALIZE her like or respect of Mao as a philosopher. She referenced him, in a specific historic context. Her point to the students was clearly that "even if your back is up against the wall, no matter what the odds, you can be sure if you stick to it you will suceed, such as the case of Mao Zedong". She then rolled out the specific year 1947 and illustrated his internal political problems within the Communist Party. This speficially represents the year that Mao begin major purges within his Party to gain complete control, these were carried out through murder, assassinations, and further he also strongly ramped up political violence in the areas seized by his Communists from the Nationalists in 1947. THAT IS WHY ANITA DUNN SAID "IN 1947". By it, she SPECIFICALLY contextualized her relationship with Mao, in that she is in awe or somehow considers Mao's political activity against odds even within his own Party, as worthy of attention or note. Again, that engendered some of the bloodiest, revolutionary behavior WITHIN the Communist Party of China.
She cannot laugh this off. The White House cannot laugh it off. They cannot spin it as a joke. And they cannot say it was taken out of context, because she SPECIFICALLY framed and contextualized ("1947") murderous Chairman Mao Zedong with her very own words. See the tape again. It is true. This woman is in big trouble. She cannot get out of this philosophical head lock.

Not sweating? Oh yeah they are, and if they’re not, they should be. I’ve been watching stats for the past two days and “anita dunn” searches are coming in fast and furious. The people want to know.
So why say anything at all?
I am curious about the location of the high school where she gave the speech and especially about who invited her and approved of it and for what occasion. Was it graduation or indoctrination or some social activism club or? Oh yeah, and when do we get to the part of ACORN’S connection?
Anita Dunn is lucky that President Obama does not hold her to the same standards that the NFL requires of Rush Limbaugh. Even if her explanation is accepted, it is still very inappropriate to refer to the most prolific murderer of the 20th Century in such a way to a high school audience.
I have a team already working on combing the internet in Chinese through Mainland China and Taiwan sources to see if there is ANYTHING on this woman, recently or in student to grad school days, to do with Mao Zedong.
I do know that after having read this, following her specific mentioning of 1947 when she brought up MAO whom she "turns to" (and tried to lay him out as a life-example for young students to plod on even whe faced with monumental challenges), that the internal situation in China she made a reference to was ABSOLUTE HELL ON EARTH at the time. I can only extrapolate that she wants this political philosophy approach for the USA someday:

This was a High School, as I understand, from an elite area of Maryland D.C. and the graduation location was inside the Washington National Cathedral. She went as a White House Official.

It was an Episcopalian School and it was a graduation. A FReeper today said her daughter was graduating and the parents were horrified when they heard Dunn’s speech and the kids were pi**ed and many of them said Dunn ruined their graduation. Just thought I would pass it on.

If he wants to keep the illusion intact a little longer then Anita will have to go just like Van Jones. His media will continue to provide cover by ignoring the real story (Obama's radical socialist plan to change this country) and keep trying to make it about Fox News telling "lies".

I’m not too sure about that in this case. Dunn is married to Obama’s private attorney, Robt Bauer, who represented him in all the ‘birther’ suits before the US attorneys stepped in, and still represents him in a few filed before the Inauguration. One would assume his personal attorney has a LOT of information.
But these dedicated leftists, which Dunn and Bauer most certainly are, are perfectly willing to sacrifice themselves for ‘the cause.’ She can mosey down the street and join Van Jones at some Soros entity.
But knocking her out of the White House and her temporary job there, due to scandal or other negative press, is overall good for our side, good for FOX ratings, rallies the troops and gives US a “Yes We Can” moralizing boost while demoralizing the enemy a bit, even though she will, with her connections, land on her feet in D.C. with an even higher paid job...the PR damage is still done and it adds to the death of a thousand cuts of the Obama Administration, which is about the only legal way we can take this guy down for the time being (RNC being no help of course).
indeed, eggman, they are attracted to him of course and he likewise attracted to them and their ilk. And, at the end of the day, you have to have SOMEBODY running the firing squads—from their tony bedrooms in upscale Potomac, MD if necessary—they will have to set up to eliminate patriots and conservatives, through their great Obama National Security Force which has been threatened, er, promised.
The more he and his administration are consumed with fighting us, the less he can focus on his real goals and the more he reveals about his true character.
Exactly, she is probably no more connect than Rev Wright and he was expendable. So whether they willing throw themselves under the bus for leftism or Obama pushes them the end result is the same.
As for any information she might have. Anything he has said to his personal attorney is privileged. She might know he is more of a leftist than many thought when they voted for him but he is proving that daily himself now. [I almost said more left than he campaigned, but actually he revealed who he was if you listened to him. So many voted for him without bothering to listen to him.]
