If you have given to the NRCC, RNC, or Newt Gingrich under the impression that they are using the money to support conservatism, you might want to ask for your money back.
As I mentioned in my column post on the NY23 special election, the NRCC is using conservatives money to back a radical leftist and attack a bona fide, viable conservative candidate for Congress in a safe Republican district. Gingrich has endorsed the radical leftist.
Now comes word from CQ that the Republican National Committee has made a six-figure transfer of funds to the NRCC to support Scozzafava:
The Republican National Committee also confirmed Friday that it was making a six-figure transfer to the National Republican Campaign Committee to help in that race.
The NRCC has already spent nearly half a million dollars on advertising and other independent expenditures. And with the Scozzafava campaign on television only sparingly reportedly because of slow fundraising it has become the main source of advertising for the Republicans at this point.
The RNC is also giving $85,000 to the state party, the maximum allowed for a coordinated campaign, and has two staffers on the ground in the district.
In a letter to supporters, Gingrich called the Nov. 3 special election an important test for the party in advance of the 2010 mid-term election. Scozzafava is Our best chance to put responsible and principled leaders in Washington, he said.
In addition to Scozzafavas radical leftist record that I outlined this morning, Scozzafava is the proud recipient of the Margaret Sanger Award from New York family planners.
Yes, that Margaret Sanger.
You can watch her speech here.
Call the NRCC and RNC and call them out.

and do you remember how much support they gave Roseann Pulido in Illinois, a real conservative freeper? They hardly even bothered to call.
They cut off Michele Bachmann too. But she had enough national ID that folks across the country chipped in.
I quit telling people I am a Republican. Now I tell them I’m a Conservative Constituionalist. The Republican party has turned into the RINO party.
Isn’t it the “Margaret Sanger / Joseph Mengele award for Eugenice?”
As long as American voters continue to support the GOP, there will never be a chance for conservatism to prove that it works on a national level. Unfortunately, President Reagan was the last opportunity. He fought the GOP every step of the way, but he was hampered in office by a retrograde Democrat Congress. The path to conservatism must be around the GOP, or over its dead body.
Scozzafava, even the name sounds scuzzy.
Gingrich has lost his nineties mojo. I am deeply saddened.
Or someone who isn’t at the least afraid to kick rhino a$$. Like Sarah Palin.
preferably, the latter.
Gingrich is more about himself than either conservatism or Catholicism. Is he the David Kmiec of Republicans?
Hope he’s a better Catholic than conservative.
Yeah, but a socialist with an (R) after his or her name is somehow better than a socialist with a (D). Screw that. Voting and personal record are everything with me from now on, never party loyalty again.
Exactly and why the devil are they backing these losers? They have lost their collective minds.
It sounds like the GOP has made a pact with the devil and want to lose.
Mommy, tell me again why we need the Republican Party.
Robert Novak, the Prince of Darkness and newsman nonpareil, had Gingrich’s number. The man has been a sham from the beginning. If you have a chance read Novak’s autobiography, which oddly enough is titled, The Prince of Darkness.
From what what I understand in Pulido’s case they (”hardly bother to call”) didn’t even bother to do that.
In Hoffman’s case who’s running against “Dede”(I I don’t have his link off hand but I hope a FR posts it) this has got to do more with the New York Conservative Party than anything else which the local Republicans are afraid of.
During the campaign and before the 23rd NY district votes Hoffman should should set the record streight with his relationship with the House Republican Congressional caucus by pledging to vote with them if elected.
Because there won’t be enough Conservative Party Congressional members in the US House to meet in the proverbial telephone booth for one thing, and when doing so the New York Conservative Party should hold no retribution against him when he does it.

Newt’s American Solutions called me yesterday for a donation. I let the nice caller know how I felt about Newt and his support of the RINO in NY and told him they will not get money from me, ever again.
He’s supposed to represent his oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, and the citizens of his district, not a House caucus.
Thanks for the reminder GeronL. I was too Conservative for them and I stood on Principle, THAT is a No-No if you want to be LIKED!!
I do not want to be Liked, I just want my country back!!
Well, here I go again!!...

all right!
Stupid is as stupid does.
Re: joining a (Republican) House Caucus....Unless the raison de entre a 3rd party candidate enters a race is to furthur the political concept “advancing the cause of conservatism and individual responsibility” but instead owes allegiance to the political party which espouses those principles. Thus places that party’s concepts before servitude to uphold and defend the Constitution of The United States .
What is the difference between that candidate and the socialists running for office under the guise of the Democratic Party ? The answer is none.
That stand alone mentality is sooo silly and expresses a political naivete which many 3rd party members hold. This is why 3rd partys go nowhere except allow the common enemy,.advancing socialism under the guise of the Democratic Party to move forward. Minnesota is a case in point.
Are you foolishly implying that most Republicans (excepting RINOS) elected to Congress will not defend and uphold the constitution ? .. While members of the Conservative or Constitutional party (if they even manage to get elected) caucus in a phone booth.
Until 3rd partys have a significant number to hold a caucus (such as in a state house) the feeling should be as old as the bible
“Joining the enemy of my enemy “. If candidates of a 3rd party have a shot at taking a seat from a RINO they should be able to without any retribution from their party be able to join with Republican caucus.

Nothing foolish about it at all. It's simply a fact.
