I think he got pretty pissed at PBS last year when he interviewed President Bush and PBS refused to air it. Or, maybe President Bush agreed to an interview with Juan and PBS said, “no”. Either way, Juan was upset about it.

It's been interesting, hasn't it? Remember the old days when Brit 'educated' him regularly? It's been fascinating to watch some of Juan's mental barriers break down, liberating him from years of brainwashing. Don’t worry - there’s no hitching going on. But... when he gets it right, I’m going to say so.
I think he’s evolving - he wrote that book last year - more and more, he’s seeing how the hatred of the hard left comes out.

I don’t know whether he’s a jerk or not - there are times that I just can’t get what he’s thinking, and many times I think he’s flat wrong.
But I know that he’s seeing how the hard left works. But I tend to think that he’s coming around, and he’s not a blind doctrinaire. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Some of the best conservatives came from the left side of the fence. Lots of them here on FR.

Juan also has an adult son who is a conservative. I learned this about 3 years ago and I think his young conservative son has also influenced him as I have been watching him speak up strongly on subjects I never expected him to before.

I like Juan. He’s a man of integrity. Sure he’s liberal, but he’s very honest, intelligent, and open-minded. I respect that and wish more of them were like that.
