RICHMOND, Va. A federal judge has ruled that Virginia violated the voting rights of military service members and other Americans overseas when officials failed to mail more than 2,100 absentee ballots in time for last year's presidential election.
U.S. District Judge Richard Williams also ordered Friday that the Virginia Board of Elections count and certify the absentee ballots.
The ballots from military service members and others living outside the state were the focus of a lawsuit filed by Republican candidate John McCain's campaign, which alleged that they weren't mailed in time for overseas voters to return them before the polls closed Nov. 4.

It is for the next election. Virginia was arguing that military could sent out the day before the vote, meaning the soldiers/sailors/airmen would never have their votes counted.
I hate leftists.

How about the ones the RATs never opened and counted???? Add absentee ballots to that question.
Do we smell voter fraud in the air?

Perhaps one should note that the Dims were in control of the state at the time.

The missing ballots would not have swung the election in Virginia where President Barack Obama won by nearly 233,000 votes. But they were not allowed to count. That is the Issue!

The military votes has been systematically discounted by various methods for many elections - and nothing gets done The most egregious, in your face, was Florida 2000 - with Gore screaming EVERY vote must count and at the same time suing to keep many military votes from being counted

Pointless judicial notice and “remedial” action long after the fact is an indelible mark of voting illegalities.

I suspect that the same thing happened for this upcoming election.
Sickening that the people who sacrifice so we can have elections are treated like dirt by the left.

God only knows how much voter fraud happened last November. What can be done to prevent it in November, 2010?
To: ExTexasRedhead
They just counted them as Dem votes.

The most egregious, in your face, was Florida 2000 - with Gore screaming EVERY vote must count and at the same time suing to keep many military votes from being counted I remember that, and it was truly shameless.
If I recall correctly, lawyers' groups worked overtime to keep military absentee votes from counting.

I think this was a pretty quick decision. An article was posted recently wherein Virginia officials said something to the effect that legally, they could mail the absentee ballots one day before the election.

November 4 2004 was most likely the last honest election that we will see unless drastic action is taken against acorn and other organizations that promote voter fraud. Since demorats are in control there is little chance for this to happen. God Help the USA
