Btw (sorry, I hit the Send button before I included this)...I could tell you stories about Chicago and the “machine” that would make your hair fall out.

I make the cross-country trip to Chicago each year (for about a week or so), to hang with my lovebug.

That said, I wouldn’t have handed the Olympics to this bunch, now or forever. The rank, “in your face” corruption is quite something to behold. I never saw a thing like it, and I’m from Cleveland, Ohio!

And there is no bigger group of sheep in America than Chicago. We all assume midwesterners are solid. These people are in some sort of economic trance!

I was in the airport. Had to wait a bit for my sweetie to pick me up since he was in the classroom. I ordered a slice of pizza and afterwards, noticed my sales tax on that thing was 10%. The gal shrugged at me and said “That’s just how it is here.”

Well I’m in Utah these days and if that happened here, we’re looking at pitchforks.

I found their attitude quite stunning; Chicago is so great to live in, it doesn’t matter.
