I’m not splitting hairs. The comments were about the media.
“I think what we’ve had here is a little social concern in the NFL.
The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well.
There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit
for the performance of this team that he didn’t deserve.”
Then he said that the Eagles defense should have been given more credit for the success of the team. This is not a “McNabb sucks” comment. This is a “media is overhyping a black QB” comment. You can see it with other black QBs: namely Michael Vick and Vince Young.
The really stupid part about this is that black QBs have already succeeded in the NFL: Warren Moon, Steve McNair, and Randall Cunningham were all great quarterbacks.
Media- We don’t want conservatives to be anything but the villains in pop culture. You can’t make any decisions, you will sit there and follow orders. If you don’t we will lie our ass off until you destroy you, then after the damage is done we will say a 2 second apology.
Don’t kid yourself. Dan Rooney has plenty of influence with
the NFL, and Obama, in mho, wouldn’t think twice about asking him for help.
