This is a powerful and disturbing piece. Although long it's worth seeing to the end. All the quotes were from articles I found including the Boston Globe and the Atlantic.

Rev. Manning speaks about this here , and in several other of his videos .
He did nothing for the Roseland community and he probably could care less.
Homecoming Day for Officer Densey Cole
Updated: Friday, 16 Oct 2009, 11:31 PM CDT * By Jeff Goldblatt
Chicago - Over the last five months, Fox Chicago News has followed the recovery of Densey Cole.
He's the Chicago police officer, paralyzed in an on-duty traffic accident, whose injuries may have been worsened after the accident.
Police say a guy went into the officer's mangled SUV, twisted Cole's head, and then stole his wallet and gun. From that day on the progress has been remarkable.
Friday was Homecoming Day for Densey Cole, after spending the last three and a half months at a rehab hospital in Colorado.
Meeting him at O'Hare Airport were a healthy turnout of his fellow Chicago Police Officers.
"I'm glad to be home. My birthday is at the end of the month. My daughter's birthday is on November first. I'm really excited to be back with my kids and start regular living." Added Cole.
When we first introduced you to Cole, he couldn't do much by himself...
"When I went there, I had no movement at all except for my head and my mouth of course; now I can move leg." Said Cole.
His mind is moving forward too away from the day of the accident and the subsequent arrest of Rasaan Shannon, the man charged with stealing Cole's gun.
"The guy that robbed me, I kind of forgot about all that. I kind of put that out of my mind, I dont really focus on that.. As a matter of fact, I don't think I could tell you his name right now." Said Cole.
Cole says the grueling rehab and the round the clock care made a world of difference with his recovery. His wife says the support of family, friends and fellow officers is uplifting.
It's been a really nice homecoming. It makes the fear of the unknown and what's going to happen a little more comforting. Said Cole.
Cole went to Denver he says with nothing. He's come back however with a "glass half full attitude," and a cup filled with determination as he starts a new round of rehab Monday, here in Chicago.
I'm just looking forward to getting back some stretch in my legs. Hopefully I can walk., even if its with braces. Said Cole.
