They did it to Rush Limbaugh. Who will be next? I am sure Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson and others on the Left are struggling to contain their overwhelming feelings of glee and power. They did it! Their campaign of lies and slander portraying Rush Limbaugh as a racist achieved its goal. Rush was dropped from a team bidding to purchase an NFL football team.
Rush's dismissal is a victory for political correctness, despicable reporting and high tech lynching. No need to fact check racist accusations against Rush, although a few researchers have pursued and failed to find the alleged racist statements. When it comes to Conservatives, the Left hangs them simply because they are Conservative.

The funny thing is we’ve had a large number of people with diverse political ideologies owning sports teams. Why would anyone care if Rush owned his own? What about that Mark Cuban guy? He can’t keep his mouth shut. And would this same thinking apply if President George Bush wanted to invest in a team again (a great idea, I think)???
Rush = Racist
Like Rush? = Racist
NFL go to hell.

I AM RUSH LIMBAUGH!
Let’s not forget that Trent Lott received similar treatment not long ago. A big difference in that event is that a lot of the knives in Lott’s back were wielded by Republicans. Political correctness has become the monster that it is because many on the right are too cowardly to fight it, and even worse some are eager to employ it if they think it will advance their own interests.
perfect quote.
Seeing as the NFL showed it’s “true colors” with this situation I will no longer support the NFL in any way. I will not attend their games, I will not watch or listen to them nor will I purchase any of their licensed products.
The league, the team owners and the teams themselves can all go to hell as far as I am concerned.
I am sure they will be perfectly fine with my decision seeing as they view me as a “raaaaacist”.
First the came after Dr. Savage and RL was silent. Next they came after RL.
They’ve been coming after Limbaugh ever since he got on the air.
Public figures have a very difficult hurdle to get over in order to sue for libel. You can pretty much say any lie you want to about a public figure and there’s not much that they can do to stop it. “Hustler Magazine v. Falwell” is an example of what public figures must endure.

Perfect...
Why would you wish for something like that? Do you understand the dynamics of this story?
That's a lie.
“They’ve been coming after Limbaugh ever since he got on the air.”
That’s true, but he was still silent when they went after Savage.
I wish for the end of the NFL, for it to disappear into oblivion. Yes, I understand the dynamics and they prove the NFL has become a political tool for the left.
Please excuse my last post. My glasses were fogged from the shower and I misread your post.
Rush comes out with a bigger audience and more money.
The old saw....Don’t get into fights with people who buy ink by the barrel, or speak to 20 million people each day.
These imps from CNN can’t even get a million people to listen to them. Rush is their biggest draw after Sarah Palin - it is in the numbers. They do it for hate, but they do it for money as well. All trumped up, all bull spit - Reverend Al Charlatan - the stones on that lying POS. He accused prosecutor Steven Dragonas of raping Tawana Brawley with absolutely no proof. Putrid lies from this rotting corpse of a liar, and we have to listen to him pass judgment - on anything! Hey Al - do us a favor and donate your vocal chords to science - I’m sure they will blow the scientific community away as they continue to spout lies in a bottle of formaldehyde.
That's what is known as throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Rush Limbaugh himself admits that the trouble isn't with the NFL, it's with the scourge of political correctness that is constantly promoted by the Democratic party, and manifested by such poltroons as Colts' owner Irsay and actual players such as Mathias Kiwanuka of the Giants.
I respectfully urge you not to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Football is the greatest sport in the world, and the cowardice of a few owners (and would-be owners such as Checketts) shouldn't discourage one from enjoying the league. I, personally, will never surrender to the Left, no matter how pervasive their politcal correctness becomes. This is a time to fight back and expose them, as Rush is already doing.
The Left, aided by their minions in the press, spread lies and smears. When confronted on this they shifted the focus to the division they created and blamed it on Rush. Al and Jesse pulled their little extortion game adding to the divisiveness, and the NFL ran and hid.
Lesson learned? The Left learned that all they need to do to prevent any conservative getting a job, a promotion, an appointment, a grant, or any kind of benefit is raise a stink and cry about how divisive or controversial the conservative candidate is.
(Does this make anyone else think about the Menendez brothers seeking mercy from the court because they were orphans? The ones decrying Rush being divisive/controversial are the ones that created the issue!)
Who’s next?
The NFL needs to be sent a message! This is a slap in the face to a minimum of half the citizens in this country and quite possibly more than half the folks that fill their stadiums every week.
A full boycott of the NFL is probably not realistic because too many folks may be reluctant to skip the big rivalry game, or not use tickets to their the first or only game, etc.
But season ticket holders could look at the schedule and forgo those games that don’t excite them, and keep the tickets. Leave their seats empty for the games they skip. And choose to not buy any official NFL merchandise.
If a game is not sold out don’t participate in any last ditch effort to avoid the blackout.
People could drop the NFL game package on cable and satellite and join their friends at the bar.
Better yet, quit watching the NFL all day Sunday! Catch your home team’s game if you have to, but then go do something with the family.
And let the NFL know. Contact them and tell them what you’re doing and why!
And refuse to watch anything on NBC until Olbermann is gone!
(Or at least anything NEW.)
One could choose to not patronize the sponsors of the NFL games, or at a minimum those adverstising on the Sunday night game on NBC. (Is Olbermann still there? My greatest shame as a former GE employee was the fact that I was associated even remotely with KO.)
Maybe it’s time for some tea party’s outside the stadiums.
It’s more than what they did to Rush. They are still going after Palin, they’re going after Fox, they’re going after Beck, soon they’ll be going after Stossel.
Alan Keyes once said “The reward for cowardice is that your enemies assault you with greater confidence!” (Something I wish our representatives in D.C. understood!)
If they succeed in intimidating the NFL without consequences the Left will only be emboldened to do it again and their next target will see no down side to acquiescing to their attack.
The NFL thought it was in their best interest not to rile the extreme Left. It’s up to us to help them understand how many people thay have alienated by their actions.
yeah, the NFL will be getting along without my patronage.
they can aks Al Sharpton for the money I spent on them.

This is how they operate , This is what they did to The Banks in the inner city ,forcing them to give loans to people who did not qualify, object and we will Bury you
