Ann Coulter: NATURAL-BORN LOSERS ("Obama's Meaningless Blather")

NATURAL-BORN LOSERS
October 14, 2009

The question of whether President Obama should send more troops to Afghanistan misses the point.

What Obama really needs to do is: Invent a time machine, go back to the 2008 presidential campaign and not say, over and over and over again, that Afghanistan was a "war of necessity" while the war in Iraq was a "war of choice." (Oh, and as long as you're back there, ditch Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett and that gay "school safety" czar.)

The most important part of warfare is picking your battlefield, and President Bush picked Iraq for a reason.

Neither Iraq nor Afghanistan attacked us on 9/11 -- or the dozen other times American embassies, barracks and buildings came under jihadist onslaught since Jimmy Carter presided over "regime change" in Iran in 1979. Both countries -- and others -- gave succor to terrorists who had attacked the U.S. repeatedly, and would do so again.

As liberals endlessly reminded us during the three weeks of war in Afghanistan before the U.S. military swept into Kabul, Afghanistan has all the makings of a military disaster. It is mountainous, cave-pocked, tribal, has no resources worth fighting for and a populace that makes Khalid Sheikh Mohammed look like Alistair Cooke.

By contrast, Iraq had a relatively educated, pro-Western populace, but was ruled by a brutal third-world despot.

It's always something with the Muslims. You either have mostly sane people governed by a crazy dictator -- Iraq, Iran and Syria (also California and Michigan) -- or a crazy people governed by relatively sane leaders -- Pakistan and Afghanistan, post-U.S. invasion (also Vermont and Minnesota). There are also insane people ruled by insane leaders (but enough about the House Democratic Caucus). Sane people with sane rulers has not been fully tried yet.

Not only could regime change in Iraq work, but Iraq's countryside was susceptible to America's overwhelming air power. Also, Iraq has fabulous natural resources. Once the U.S. got control of Iraq's oil fields, the Shia, Sunni and Kurds could decide to either prosper together or starve together. (And it's not just oil: They're basically sitting on top of most of the world's proven reserves of cab drivers.)

By contrast, there aren't a lot of sticks that can be used in a wasteland like Afghanistan, where the people live in caves and scratch out a living in the dirt. The only "carrot" we might be able to offer them would be actual carrots.

But Democrats couldn't care less about military strategy -- at least any "strategy" that doesn't involve allowing soldiers to date one another. To the extent you can get liberals to focus on national security at all, you will find they are rooting against their own country.

Now nearly all denizens of the Middle East want the U.S. to invade them, so they can live in democracy, too. As Thomas Friedman inadvertently admitted, Lebanese voters credit their recent free election, in which the voters threw out Hezbollah, to President Bush. (American liberals, naturally, gave the credit to Obama, who they also believe is responsible for the sun rising every morning.)

Ann hits Obama on his ability to lead during war time
It was Obama's meaningless blather about Afghanistan being a "war of necessity" during the campaign that has moved the central front in the war on terrorism from Iraq -- a good battleground for the U.S. -- to Afghanistan -- a lousy battlefront for the U.S.
Obama wee wee'd out on this one.

C'mon, wintertime!
Ann is obviously TRYING to extend the olive branch to the "Show us your Birth Certificate" crowd.
The title of her column this week has "Natural Born" in it!
Get it, NATURAL BORN -- as in Natural Born CITIZEN!
It looks like Ann wants to "move on" (as it were) beyond our past differences. :o)

I posted the following early today. It applies to Ann Coulter:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/2361028/posts?page=8#8

Obama’s eligibility has revealed the true slimy and cowardly character of our loud mouthed, so-called, conservative talk show hosts and commentators.

Rush, Beck, Hannity, OReilly, Coulter, Boortz, Medved, Malkin, the entire Fox News stable of beauties, et. al. ...Weenie pond scum! All of them!

When tyranny comes these so-call conservative talk show cowards will **eagerly** lick the boots of the oligarchs and spit shine tyranny and oppress their fellow Americans with their smooth tongued propaganda.

Some issues are deal breakers. Some issues peel the veneer off the rot. Obama’s eligibility is one of those issues. I now know how deep Rush's (and the rest of the yapping weenies’) commitment is to the Constitution.

May God bless Rev. Manning. May God save our nation and raise up more brave and true men like him who will defend our Constitution.

Rev. Manning can save nothing.

Rush, Beck and Levin are at least educating the populace so the clowns can be voted out. Obama has sealed all his records. There is no way to force O to prove he is a citizen. NO WAY. Anyone can demand but all he has to do is say no. See what is happening with Orly. Do you think that anyone of the MSM will push the issue?

Levin’s Landmark Legal foundation is fighting Cap and Trade legally. Rush is pushing the limits and Beck is reaching so many people, the regime is not laughing (I watch him on TikiLive. His numbers there have gone from the hundreds to the thousands) We can’t win by trying to prove Barry is not eligible. But we can do what we can.

Ann is a opportunist. How she handled Obama’s eligibility proves that. At the moment conservatives and conservative issues are her best “opportunity”.

When the oligarchy oppresses us Ann will eagerly lick their boots, spit shit their tyranny, and use the opportunity to advance herself in the glow of their jack boots.

Some issues are deal breakers. How Ann has handled Obama’s eligibility has peeled the bandaid off her moral gangrene. No matter how hard she tries to cover it up again we all know it stinks.

Ouch!
So, which conservative leaders (in your opinion) **are** carrying the torch for this issue?
I agree with you that this is a serious issue, but I worry when virtually NONE of the conservative commentators that I trust are out there in front of this thing.

Maybe they DO know something that we don't know...

...like (for whatever reason) this is NOT the best issue for us to go to the mattresses on?

Ann Coulter Debates Al Sharpton on President Obama Winning the Nobel Peace Prize - Video

Here is video of Ann Coulter debating Al Sharpton on President Obama receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. This debate occurred over the weekend on Geraldo's show.

Coulter said she is surprised the Nobel Committee is not being accused of "racism" for waiting as long as they did to give him the award!

Sharpton essentially admitted he has been given the award for being a "transformative" figure in winning the election in 2008 and setting a different "tone."

Coulter interpreted Sharpton's statement "transformative," to mean because Obama is a black man. Coulter asked if Obama is going to receive a "Tony Award" as well? . . . (VIDEO)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I see he has fooled you.

In all the time that Obama has had a serious chance at the presidency ( 2 years?) Rush has given this issue about 5 minutes, and nearly all of that was in jokes.

Rush has done **just** enough so that if there ever is discovery, Rush can say, “See! I covered it! Run the tapes!”

Rush like Ann is an opportunist. Both of them “use” conservatives. When tyranny comes both will throw us away like a snotty ball of used Kleenx, and will willing take every opportunity to wipe the noses of our masters.

And?
What exactly do you want him to do?

I’m not sure you understand the Psychology of this. Rush is a hurricane. If he devotes his time to this, or Hannity does, the issue is dead in the water, sucked into the vortex of Slam. The MSM is hoping they jump on it. Because NOTHING can be done about it. All records are sealed. Period. So if one of them go whole heartedly into it, they actually hurt the conservative movement.

You can’t be paying attention to what is going on. You can’t see how these people are being hung out to dry. Beck has picked up security on his family, Rush is being openly slandered by sportspeople. If anyone seriously touches this issue, they will be completely discredited. That’s ANY one of these people.

Rush has nodded to his base, Levin and Beck have done the same. WE know where they are.
