Joe Arpaio is a national hero, not listening to the federal government and actually following the law.

LOL!

If Naverette is a conservative I’d hate to see a liberal at his paper, he’s a looney toon.

The odds of this happening are at least a million to one.

If all the sheriffs in the southwest enforced the laws like this guy, we wouldn’t have 90% of our illegal immigrant problem.

Two points:

1. The Austin unAmerican Statesman is a typical media appendage of the CPUSA.

2. Arpaio *is* the law.

He might get a chance. Sheriff Joe is going to an event for a guy running for Sheriff of San Diego county, CA. Think Rep. Duncan Hunter wil be there too.

“Why, around here stranger, we hang a man for that.”

Second badass cowboy:
“A whole lot less than that.”

(From some old ‘50’s low budget cowboy movie.)

Anybody doing the great things Joe Arpeo is doing is going to have enemies.

All the sheriffs (and the Federal Government) should do what Joe is doing.

Rush Limbaugh is being badmouthed by NFL coaches for things they thought they heard somebody say he said.

During the Inquisition (and don’t kid yourself that it was limited to Spain) the victim didn’t necessarily know who his accuser was. Fact is, the accuser didn’t even have to be telling the truth. That evil syndrome is creeping into this country.

In the article not once was he accused of breaking the law. It made suggestions that he had but did not say he did. Typical left wing smear job.

“The Austin unAmerican Statesman is a typical media appendage of the CPUSA.”

Not as much as some but, your statement is basically true.

Sheriff Joe is following constitutional law not the flimsy, *made as you go* law used by the Feds.

Yeah, when a sheriff "goes off the rails" by enforcing laws the feds don't have the cojones to enforce ...

Newsflash, Ruben: being Hispanic doesn't exempt you from the law.

It takes the nerve of a burglar for a mouthpiece of millions of foreign resident lawbreakers to call the southwest’s best lawman—an outlaw.
We’re in Wonderland now.

We have a good Sheriff here in Yuma County Az. His name is Ralph Ogden. You wouldn’t know it from his actions and words, but he is a registered Dem. Yuma County is pretty conservative and we keep electing Ogden. I vote for him because he is the quintisential western lawman. From what I have seen he doesn’t play politics. He runs a tough jail, inmates write to the paper constantly complaining they only get 3 showers a week, only get 1 hour TV time, and they can only watch the History channel. He has also endorsed Arpio on many occasions.

Ah, the Austin American Statist-man. Y’all should know Austin is the most liberal city in Texas, and the home of state government.

Ruben clearly never met an illegal he didn’t like.

He has one good point: “Most illegals are Hispanic, but most Hispanics aren’t illegal.” I don’t think any of us want Americans who happen to be of Hispanic descent hassled. If that’s going on it should be stopped immediately.

That’s true. And important. But the ones who hang out at the park across from my house, who don’t speak a lick of English, ARE illegal. The ones that infest a nearby store parking lot ARE illegal. The ones that hang out on sidewalks three miles down the street ARE illegal. The ones that get in wrecks and run away ARE illegal.

If Sheriff Joe concentrates on folks like them, good riddance ! Deport them all, and their anchor babies too !

I work outside year-round and get quite a dark tan. I've been asked if I spoke Spanish or was Hispanic many, many times.

When I get pulled over for having an expired tag or a broken light, I don't feel like the cop was after me because he thought I was Hispanic. He pulled me over because I was violating the law and that's his job.

I'm not at all a fan of DWI or seat belt road searches but, if my city was infested with criminals/illegals, that might be called for.

Hell, I wish Sheriff Joe would come to the Austin area and round a few up.
