House Republicans accuse Muslim group of trying to plant spies By Jordy Yager - 10/14/09 11:01 AM ET

Four House Republicans are accusing a Muslim advocacy group of trying to plant spies.

Republican members of the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus say the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), tried to plant “spies” within key national security committees to shape legislative policy in its favor.

Reps. Sue Myrick (R-N.C.), John Shadegg (R-Ariz.) and Paul Broun (R-Ga.), and Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) - citing the recently released book, “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld that's Conspiring to Islamize America” – called for the House Sergeant at Arms to investigate whether CAIR had been successful in placing interns on key committees. The lawmakers are specifically focused on the House Homeland Security Committee, Intelligence Committee, and Judiciary Committee.

“If an organization is connected to or supports terrorists [and] is running influence operations or planting spies in key national security related offices I think this needs to be made known,” Broun said. “So I join my colleagues here today in calling for action.”

What? Really? I would have never suspected it. Ask King Obama, he should have some inroads. Look how he with his machine is destroying the CIA. Any doubt?

Oh boy...I can hear the State-Run-Media (used to be the MSM) jumping all over this, crowing about how unhinged the "radical right" is. "See! We TOLD you they're haters and lunatics!!" The RINOs will tuck their tails and dutifully apologize for such insane, baseless, racist accusations and that will be that. Mission accomplished.

Or, I could be wrong....though I suspect i'm not.

"Republican members of the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus say the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), tried to plant “spies” within key national security committees to shape legislative policy in its favor."

This has profound implications for our security, at home and overseas, and for our guys in Iraq and Afghanistan. And if true, the NSA, DIA, FBI, CIA, and the Military need to lodge the strongest objections possible to Obama. This should have people waking up in a cold sweat at 3 A.M. Further, if members of Congress have let, or attempted to let unauthorized people see information which could cause the United States grave damage, those members of Congress need to be arrested and prosecuted immediately. Friends, this is just another frightening face that the Obama Administration presents to our fragile Democracy.

Someday movies and TV shows will be made smearing the accusers. Perhaps “Shadeggism” and the “Shadegg Era” will become epithets hurled at people, the way Hugh Hewitt was labeling the Rush smear “McCarthyism”. (Poor fool, Hugh didn’t even realize that they are doing to Rush EXACTLY what they did to McCarthy.)

It won't make a bit of difference. Back in the early-to-mid 20th century, the Democrats defended the Communists in government, and those people who tried to get them out are demonized to this very day. The Republicans then, as now, were generally too afraid to be embarrassed at the country club to stand up for the truth.

Maybe so Jeff. But for now, some Republicans are standing up, and the issue to explosive because 9/11 is still in the active memory of Americans. With Americans still being killed by Muslim fanatics and with Iran acquiring the atomic bomb and the means to deliver it, Republicans who DON'T use this as an issue are damned fools. The fringe media cannot convince us that there is nothing to fear. We know the truth.

On November 9th I cried as I knew that Zero now had all access to our intelligence. I knew our enemies would soon know all we knew and be able to use it to their advantage. Lord help our country. We had so many foolish, naive voters who didn't bother to find out what Zero was really about. Our country will be paying for this mistake for generations.

At what point is this “treasonous”?

Art III, Section 3, United States Constitution:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

Yep, I know it is in the Constitution. And I’ll point out that while laws against sedition come and go, treason is defined in the Constitution and has never been repealed.

With a key operative in the White House, positions of less influence are hardly significant.

Kareem Shora, the National Executive Director of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee was appointed to the Dept. of Homeland Security Advisory Council on 6-5-09.
Arif Alikhan, a muslim, was appointed Assistant Secretary of the Dept. of Homeland Security for the Office of Policy Development on 9-22-09
These came up by googling “muslim appointed to DHS”.

Kareem Shora, the National Executive Director of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee was appointed to the Dept. of Homeland Security Advisory Council on 6-5-09.

The American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee aka ADC [also see keywords AADC, AAADC]was founded by this leftist guy:

* Senator James Abourezk former US Senator James Abourezk, founder of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee and an outspoken supporter of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), is an IPS trustee.6[ 6 Broken Seals, Op cit., passim; Findley, P., They Dare to Speak Out, Lawrence HIll Books, Chicago, 1989. p. 98]

2002 : (FORMER US SENATOR FROM S DAKOTA, JAMES ABOUREZK, PRAISES HEZBOLLAH) The second-generation Lebanese-American seemingly has no problem exercising his first amendment rights. In 2002, Abourezk praised the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah and the "positive role it was playing in Lebanon.""[Hezbollah] was like the tool that forced the 'Israelis' to withdraw," Abourezk said. Also last year [2002], Abourezk suggested that the solution to Israel's terrorism problem would be to "get the hell out of the occupied territories.""It's not a wonder there are suicide bombers, it's a wonder there aren't many more," Abourezk said. ---- "20-Year-Old Republican Website Owner Sued by Former Democrat Senator, " By Jeff Gannon, Talon News, July 31, 2003

SEPTEMBER 2002 : (DENNIS KUCINICH ANNOUNCES THE FORMATION OF A CONGRESSIONAL ANTIWAR DELEGATION - See ABOUREZK, LEE, MCDERMOTT, SHAKIR AL KHAFAJI) The CPC overlaps with the Iraq antiwar lobby organized in September 2002 by CPC Congressman Dennis Kucinich. Kucinich announced the formation of a Congressional antiwar coalition immediately following the return of a delegation to Baghdad co-led by former MCPL Senator James Abourezk [ ----- See CNSS, ADC].
Kucinich’s coalition initially consisted of 19 Democrats, notably CPC members Barbara Lee, who had cast the lone vote against military action in Afghanistan after 9/11, and Jim McDermott, who had also criticized military action against Afghanistan. McDermott would soon follow up Abourezk’s delegation with another trip to Baghdad. Accompanying McDermott’s delegation was Iraqi agent Shakir Al-Khafaji, who later paid McDermott a check. Al-Khafaji had also been using Oil-for-Food vouchers to finance a film by antiwar spokesman Scott Ritter, who met Abourezk’s delegation in Baghdad. Since 2002, Kucinich’s coalition has spearheaded the movement to defund the war effort.-------------- "In Fonda’s Footsteps: Murtha, Kucinich, and the Antiwar Movement’s Economic War," Original FReeper research | 1/15/2007 | By Fedora
