BLOWING smoke rings as she lies back in bed with seven semi-naked dwarves tucked alongside, it's Snow White like you've never seen before.
Now this risque version of the fairytale favourite, renamed "Ho White" to promote a local beer, has drawn the wrath of Disney.
The Jamieson's Raspberry Ale campaign, launched by brewers The Foundry online this week, features an adults-only take on the fairytale character, with dwarves named Filthy, Smarmy and Randy replacing Sleepy, Happy and Doc.

The Seven Duffs!
Got Viagra?
I remember during the Utah Winter Olympics a local microbrewery produced Polygamy Porter, motto:” Take an extra 6 pack home for the wives.”
This drew some wrath from the authorities.
But having a “gay day” at Disney World,
and refusing to warn families that it’s happening,
it’s just AOK with them.
They wouldn’t have said anything if the dwarves were women
Had they depicted Ellen Degenerate and the Seven Carpet Munchers, Disney would have signed on as a sponsor.
....
When disney didn’t fire the pedophile director of the movie powder, it was no longer the disney we knew.
That’s hysterical.
I don’t let my kids watch Disney, nor play with their products.
As Michael Pearl stated - “sure, it’s OK to let your kids watch a Disney movie, even though the place is run by a bunch of queers.”
Disney does not sponsor "gay days" -- any bunch of yahoos can get group discount tickets if they buy enough of them. If enough folks named "Melvin" wanted to go at once, I'm sure they could put together a "Melvin Day" and get group discount tickets. And no one would say anything about Disney being too Melvin-friendly.
On the other hand, Disney does officially sponsor the Night of Joy event (it's actually multiple nights), which is a Christian music festival held inside on of the parks after normal closing time.
I don't wake up grumpy. She wakes up herself!

Exactly right.
Did I say “sponsor”? No, I didn’t.
But they sure as hell knew in advance that this “event” was happening and could have made it known to families so that they wouldn’t be exposed to queers on a leash.
Other than a couple of dvd’s (one of which I didn’t know was disney-national treasure w/nicholas cage), I too quit supporting them after the powder movie fiasco. It was mortifying imho. There was a thread a day or two ago discussing miley cyrus dressing like and/or acting like a stripper at a concert.. The audience was filled with kids younger than 10... Good ‘ol disney...I mentioned the movie “powder” on it too. So many people have forgotten what happened to the young actor on it.
I just did a quick search,
and, in Disney’s defense,
they reversed their “no refund” policy on gay day,
and the “gayday” community is incensed at the indignity of the warning signs they put up at the entrance on gay day.
LOL. That is funny. Too bad Disney will hammer them!
Decided to do a quick search.. The director’s name was victor salva..
He molested the star of the film...

I’m scandalized.
Ha, that’s kind of funny. (Gays mad about refunds) I remember the protests re:gay day.
Not sure why Disney would get in a huff about this. They host gay day at their parks, so what’s the big deal about this? (Of course, I find it disgusting, but I have an issue with gay day as well.)
I have the T-shirt that says “take some home to the wives” They also posted a billboard for Polygamy Porter that said “If you just said oh my heck, this beer may not be for you!” PRICELESS!!
These folks have every right to congregate in Orlando (or elsewhere) each year, and they cannot be turned away just because they're gay. We may not approve of the lifestyle they have chosen (yeah, I said it), but they clearly can't be barred from public accomodations.
If you can stomach it, go to www.gaydays.com and learn a little about the history of this sordid event. You'll also see who the actual sponsors are (hint: enjoy your next Bud Light).
Why do I know this? I had a WDW vacation planned for the first week in June several years ago. Someone advised me of Gay Days, so I did a little research. We rescheduled. Now each year before we plan our Disney trip, I confirm the Gay Days schedule, add one or two weeks for proper disinfection, and take the family to our favorite vacation spot on earth.

Beer Ping!

Smoking is bad for you.
So Disney now owns Snow White and The Seven Dwarves?
Do they own Peter Pan, Cinderella, Winnie The Pooh, Sleeping Beauty, and Brer Bear too now?
They ADAPT a lot of existing works. But they don’t own the characters.
The chairman is gay.
The snow white and the seven dwarves were naked in a hot tub feeling bashful, so bashful got out.
Beer is fun for the whole family.
PING!!!
From a TV sticom of the 80’s.....
It’s grains and water. If it wasn’t for the alcohol, beer would be a health food.
Did it, now?
I wonder why...
Right.
Perhaps the beer company should have had the naked dwarves in bed with Prince Charming, instead. That’d be right up the Disney Corporation’s alley, so to speak.
More ale for the archers!
No Disney does not own Snow White. However just looking at the artwork in question I would say that the image bears enough of a resemblance to Disney’s copyrighted images that they might well have a litigation case.
Since you ask, in my opinion the artwork on that bookcover bears no resemblance at all to Disney’s take on Snow White.

Their dwarves have 2 red caps. And yes lawyers get paid to argue those kind of details.
One other thing though. There are laws that protect parody. I don’t know if those laws would apply to advertising like this but it is worth mentioning.
You make a good point and I’m not saying Disney has an open and shut case. I consider it far more likely that Disney will just issue a demand to cease and desist rather than dragging this through a court system that would be free advertising for the beer company.
Uh, yeah. I can see where they’d be upset about this. If it was Prince Charming in bed with the Seven Dwarves, no problem.
But sex between men and women is just sick and unnatural according to the ‘Disney’ of today.
