These women may rescue flagging Republican Party (Gnarly chunk vomit)
Houston Chronicle ^ | 10/13/09 | Kathleen Parker

WASHINGTON — As the Republican Party continues its pilgrimage through the desert, its leaders may be missing the oasis for the vale of tears.

The answer to the party's woes isn't a revamped Web site (GOP.com) offering — wowser! — really cool social networking platforms.

The answer won't be found in the sudden realization that 83 percent of young people 18 to 24 have an online profile — or other late-breaking revelations that merely reinforce the perception of the GOP as woefully behind the curve.

The answer is … drum roll, please … women.

If the GOP is really serious about expanding the party, it's time for the men to hush and let the pros take over. As the saying goes: If you need something done, hire a busy woman. Or, as the White House Project puts it:

“Add women, change everything.”

In the past few months, several conservative women have emerged as candidates and critics to challenge the notion that the GOP is the party of men. They're also putting to rest any thought that Sarah Palin is the female face of the party.

The McCain campaign had the right idea; it just picked the wrong woman.

I briefly had to register as such to vote in the primary when they changed the election laws in my state. But I’ve since reverted to independent. That doesn’t stop the RNC from mailing me all kinds of crap though.

Kathleen is the center-left (read RINO) Maureen Dowd. Her, Maureen, Andrew Sullivan, Peggy Noonan and the rest of the girls are just jealous.

I guess she had to add Cheney in as a fig leaf.

We need to put Conservatives into office via the Republican party. Let us change it from the inside out. Campaign against RINOs and elect good conservatives to replace them. We do not need compromisers anymore - we need people who will go in and prudently tear down Fedzilla. The only way to make government smaller is to, indeed, make it smaller. Cut programs. Lay off government workers. Be a “Chainsaw Al.”

The GOP calls me all the time asking for donations. I told them I only give to SarahPac. They ask me how come I don’t want to give any money to the GOP, I tell them because as long as they continue to prop up RINOS such as McCain, Snowe, and Collins, I won’t support them. The GOP just doesn’t get it. ENOUGH OF THE RINOS, throw their asses out.

Apparently not. And I’m not giving one red cent to Meg or Carly. Snowe and Collins are more than enough.

Me too, you would have to be a fool to give money to the GOP. Just look at how McCain ran his stupid lifeless, omni-directional campaign. I went to their new website, and couldn’t even find their first principles listed anywhere — I guess that’s so everybody can stand for whatever they want.

I wonder why they are so worried about Palin’s book?

Mercifully, I have an unlisted and blocked number. But I would love to have a chat with the morons in the NRSC that endorsed Arlen - only to have him stab them in the back - then turned around and endorsed Charlie Loafers in Florida in his primary race.

I’m a registered Republican. However, I am more a conservative than a Republican and wish there was a strong conservative party.

OK Kathleen, you’re still jealous of not being anywhere near as hot as Sarah Palin. You envy her looks, her figure, her husband, her family, her fame, her poluarity, now her fortune, and let’s not forget her looks.

I’m not a Republican anymore, but when I visited the revamped website earlier today, I noticed the animated and talking Michael Steele hovering right over and obscuring the “Donate” button which you can’t press because the Flash animated script of Steele is in the way.
