Police: Juveniles laughed after setting 15-year-old on fire

(CNN) -- Five juveniles were in custody Tuesday after a 15-year-old was intentionally set on fire at a Deerfield Beach, Florida, apartment complex, police said.
Michael Brewer suffered second-degree burns over 80 percent of his body. "He's in for a long, long recovery," Broward County Sheriff Al Lamberti told reporters.
Three juveniles were arrested Monday night, hours after the incident, and two others were arrested Tuesday, sheriff's Sgt. Steve Feeley said.
"A couple of them last night were laughing about it," he said. "One of them arrested today seems genuinely sorry about it."
The youths all attend school together, police said, and Brewer apparently owed one of the suspects $40 for a video game and had not paid it. So the suspect allegedly stole the victim's father's bicycle, Feeley said. Brewer reported the bicycle stolen Sunday, and the suspect was arrested that day, taken to a detention center and released to his parents early Monday, police said. Neither Brewer nor the suspect went to school Monday, and the victim was waiting at the apartment complex for his friends when the suspect and two other people approached him, Feeley said.
From what the suspects and witnesses have told police, the suspect yelled, "He's a snitch, he's a snitch" and "pour it on him." Another juvenile threw what police believe was rubbing alcohol on Brewer from a plastic jug and used a lighter to set him on fire, he said.

These are juvenile sociopaths. I see nothing of political philosophy here.
There doesn't seem to be a better way to deal with these kids (or kids like them).
Odds are, none of these kids are going to ever be "productive members of society". There is something down deep wrong with them that will make them predators for life.
But the Juvenile Court system will put them back on the street in short order -- to make more trouble, to harm others.
They'll be in and out of jail for the rest of their lives and die early -- leaving a trail of damaged lives and deaths in their wake.
So, yes, why not "set them on fire and laugh"?
Set them on fire.
Let them live with the disfigurement and see how funny it is to live like that.

My brother in law works for the Chicago juvenile justice system. He sees animals like this every day of the week, usually gang members who would make these kids look like choir boys. He has no belief in rehabilitation and can’t wait to retire so he can move as far away from people as possible.

yep, they will get next to nothing and be out Seattle’s beloved street playing ‘Tuba Man’ was beaten and stomped to DEATH by a pack of black animals, (my apologies to our furry animal pals) a while back and I think the most any of ‘em received was seventy two weeks in detention and time in custody waiting trial was put against those 72 weeks also. these little animals might get 36 weeks since their victim did not die. either way, never going to be productive as you say. not a chance. I say kill all of ‘em as soon as it can be arranged and couple of gallons of gasoline and a few matches works for me also.

I never knew what a rat hole Chicago was. I got married there and have friends who live in the suburbs so I guess I had lovely, romantic thoughts connected to the city. After hearing about the beating deaths, the rotten politics, the dirty money, the general acceptance of corruption as a way of business and the voter fraud, I am ashamed of it as I am of Detroit. The family unit has been damaged and until that is fixed, and it ain’t gonna’ happen, we will just slide further down the rat hole. Maybe we will end up with walled zones or islands of havoc like in Escape from New York.

If the report is accurate the boy suffered “second degree” burns, though over most of his body. If the fuel was isopropyl rubbing alcohol, which is 30% water, that would explain why the flames were less hot. He won’t have to undergo the agonizing removal of charred flesh followed by skin grafts typical of most fire casualties, but his skin will be a ghastly sight for months, and right now he is going to have to be morphined up but good. I remember getting scalds and other semi-serious burns at that age and they hurt a whale of a lot worse than they now do on my tough middle age hide.

They had him surrounded and he couldn’t get away. I know nobody could be thinking rationally when this happens but it would have been wonderful if the kid had bear hugged the one with the jug of alcohol.

Lock up the parents with their brats and tax* them to the hilt for all the social services the brats are going to get for “rehab”. When they’re finally released, put a tether on them (the kids) that injects a fatal dose of (insert the name of some substance that causes a violent death) when they violate parole. Problem solved.
* Continue taxing the parents until their death.
Sociopaths are created by their early relationships with their mother and father. Societies who were free to nurse and tend their young children according (this is key)to Natural Law produced emotionally healthy offspring and usually flourished.
Lenin instituted day cares because he knew to control the masses, he had to destroy the natural bonds of family. Marxism does that because in their egalitarian system, women have to be able to do the same as men and caring for young gets done by the state (so they can indoctrinate and create good little marxists as dependent (non-bonded) people).
The reigning political philosophy effects all relationships, not only those of men and women, but those of child to adult. All have profound effect on culture. Judeo-Christian paradigm was the prevailing one in the history of the US up until the 60’s in the US....We had politicians destroying that paradigm starting with the progressive movement.....all to destroy the institutions of this country so we could evolve into a socialist hell hole.
