President Barack Obama has nominated a Minnesota policewoman to become the first openly gay person to serve as a U.S. marshal.

Sharon Lubinski is an assistant chief in the Minneapolis Police Department, where she has worked for 20 years.

Obama has had a rocky relationship with gay activists, who want him to end the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy on gays. He publicly pledged last weekend to do so.

Yeah, how hard can that be? I mean, if anyone could selectively breed themselves out of existence, I would think guys equipped with one plug apiece, or women sporting one socket apiece, should have a big head start.

Honestly. one suspects that many lesbians are ugly gals who couldn’t attract men, so they chose lesbianism as an alternative.

On the other hand, just about every gay man I have known is undeniably GAY.

Gay men tend to be much more socially pleasant than lesbians, who got there more likely through anger at society than what I consider immutable biological causes.

Just my opinion from limited personal observations.
