Goodell should say no to Limbaugh

It's a publicity stunt Roger Goodell should've shut down within minutes of its launch.
Rush Limbaugh as NFL owner is an unfunny joke. But the kingpin of talk radio counted on the sarcasm to fly over most of our heads and for television executives to ignore the absurdity and milk the controversy for ratings.
What he didn't know is how the NFL commissioner would react.
Well, now we have our disappointing answer. Given an opportunity to add equal-opportunity credibility to his clean-up-the-image-of-the-league campaign, Goodell has stood motionless on a busy airport runway.
And here come the Left Brothers Al "747" Sharpton and Jesse "DC 10" Jackson barreling in for a landing on top of Goodell's dome. And this time every black person with an ounce of common sense and self-respect is riding shotgun with Jesse and Al, who have justifiably voiced their displeasure with Limbaugh's ownership bid.
I'm not mad at Limbaugh. He expresses no shame to the game he's been running for two decades. He's an opportunistic, race-baiting, anti-black entertainer. The popularity of the gangsta element of hip-hop music culture has allowed Limbaugh to proudly claim that his form of entertainment is mainstream.

Whitlock is right on about a lot of things. I wonder, did Rush say these things (about salvery and JE Ray)? Is there a way to verify content and context?

I’m disappointed. Whitlock usually makes more sense than this. It’s relatively rare that Stephen A. Smith is more right on an issue than Whitlock, but on this one, he is.

I think the best that can be said about Jason Whitlock is that he's a dumbass. Rush's "race-baiting" consists of pointing out the racial opportunists such as Jesse Shakedown Jackson, Al Towana Sharpton, and the Democrat Party. He's never shown himself to be anti-black. And this last bit about the "gansta element" is just ridiculous overreaching. Jason's a moron that either has not had experience with Rush or is, for reasons of his own, being deliberately deceptive.

These people who are so upset about the sale can absolutely do something to prevent it: outbid Limbaugh.

Whitlock is right on about a lot of things. I wonder, did Rush say these things (about salvery and JE Ray)? Is there a way to verify content and context?Whitlock was on O'Rielly, and was told to his face that after the research team at Fox had heard the allegations, they combed through all of Rush's literature, talk show and interviews and could not find a single instance where this allegation was anything more than a manufactured allegation (ie. lie).
Lexis Nexis would be a good start; however this is a subscription service used by journalists who are not on the liberal bandwagon - as liberals are forbidden from doing research before actually publishing a story.

Having failed as an NFL commentator, Limbaugh understands the power of football. He realized announcing his intention to buy the Rams would feed the sports and political talk-show monsters. He figured if things hit just right, he might land the cover of Sports Illustrated and ESPN The Magazine.
Poor dope doesn't realize that Rush didn't announce anything. The story was leaked. He responded to the leak and said only that, yes, he was part of a group that was trying to buy a franchise. Nothing more was said due to confidentiality agreements that someone else didn't honor.

These people who are so upset about the sale can absolutely do something to prevent it: outbid Limbaugh. Conversely, they could really hurt Limbaugh by refusing to attend or watch any of the games his team plays. Let Rush dump gazillions of dollars in a team, when the fan base evaporates - the team is worthless. Liberals know this, if they really feel that bad about Limbaugh, then allow him the same rights as anyone else with the money to buy a team; and then simply let the team go bankrupt.

It looks like Whitlock doesn't know haw to act like a mature person. maybe it's time Whitlock was kept from commenting on a topic that influences to many of our youth when he allows himself to be portrayed poorly.

FYI, the girl in front is flashing a specific gesture that indicates a particular fetish. I wonder why Whitlock approves of this message.

Such as?
"I wonder, did Rush say these things (about salvery and JE Ray)?"
IF you listened to his show, a'tall, you'd have long ago known the answer to that & any other accusation(s) by the rabid left.
"Is there a way to verify content and context?"
Sure, but I don't *think* for you it'll matter.
Why?
Because I detect the distinct odor of ozone.

From the article:
"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray (Dr. King's assassin). We miss you, James. Godspeed."
And ...
"Let's face it, we didn't have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: Slavery built the South. I'm not saying we should bring it back. I'm just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark."
Like many people here, I frequently listen to Rush. I've never heard these things. In fact I would go so far as to say categorically that he never said the James Earl Ray item. I'm going to contact Whitlock and ask that he prove his source for those statements. Rush should sue Whitlock, and claim as damages the hundreds of millions he would've made by way of NFL ownership.

Whitlock has been right on about a lot of things, esp. being against the gangsta culture (see column about Sean Taylor in archives, I thought it was great)
FTR, I think Rush should be free to spend his money as he sees fit and would be a good owner. Mark Cuban is not Mr.Bland either and has turned the Mas for laughingstock to relevant.

Tell me again about the 'strength' of multiculturalism!? If whites don't quit pretending "I don't care about race" we are going to be buried and America with us.

Jason Whitlock is a wind bag writer for the Kansas City FALLING STAR newspaper. He never has the fact right only his own slanted opinions.
He was fired from ESPN Sports reporter and also two KC radio stations 810 Sports and 610 sports as Jason loves to play the race card all the time.
He has no credibility in KC and is more of a clown then reporter.
Take the RACE Baiting Jason Whitlock with a grain of salt!
By the way I stopped subscribing to the Kansas City Falling Star one year ago October 1, 2008. Why pay a dying industry that is an arm of the Communist Party.

"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray (Dr. King's assassin). We miss you, James. Godspeed." That is one of those internet quotes that was made popular by Rachel Maddow and has been repeated numerous time in various sources. No one knows when it was suppose to have occured, but it has been repeated enough so it is gospel. I will go out on a limb and say this is a complete and total lie. I have more of a chance of collecting $5 million from some spam email than this being true. Give me a date and time or audio, otherwise STFU about this BS.
