Wonder what 0's got up his sleeve here.
Could be a continuation of the Apology Tour, Native Americans need an apology don't they?
Might also fit into his NPP role-extend all of the U.S./Indian peace treaties or something.
Sounds like a cluster-phack to me! 564 tribal representatives? That would be worse than, no it wouldn't. That would be more difficult than having the whole of Congress stop in for a discussion or as is the case here, a pow-wow.
Dear God, I get down on bended knees and beg for you to make it stop.
Please save our Country from this evil man and his cult of followers.
Amen.
That is all for now.

This is what I'd count as the most likely thing.
From what I’ve read about from the occasional conservative voice who’s in a position to know AND from actual conservative injuns like professor David Yeagley, the Native Americans are the most welfare-wrecked people in this country. I’m sure Obama is there to grovel, genuflect and promise them more schwag from the Great White Father.
Need to rework this a bit!
There are some extremist organizations, but most American Indians are pretty sensible.
I think Obama just feels a need to campaign 24/7, just as bill clinton liked to speak at fund raisers 24/7. Clinton’s primary interest was making money; Obama’s primary interest is to be loved and admired.
Is there anything more racist than an “Indian Reservation”???
If these Indian reservations are “sovereign nations” then how come they are voting for President? All I see is a big scam where sovereign nation status comes in very handy for running mega-profitable casinos
Then you have poor Indian reservations that get every Federal welfare program known to man. How does a sovereign nation manage this?
The Canadian Government is doing the same...
Honestly, if the talks go poorly, what will the natives do, pack up and sail to Europe?
President Obama hosted a major gathering of the American Indian Nation. The President spoke for almost an hour on his future plans for increasing every Native American's present standard of living. He referred to his career as a U.S. Senator, how he had said "YES" for every Indian issue that came to his desk for approval. Although Obama was vague on the details of his plan, he seemed most enthusiastic about his future ideas for helping his "red sisters and brothers".
At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented the President with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name -"Walking Eagle". The proud President then departed in his motorcade, waving to the crowds. A news reporter later inquired to the groups chiefs of how they came to select of the new name given to the President. They explained that "Walking Eagle" is a name given to a bird so full of sh$t it can no longer fly!

I hope he learns how to pronounce the names of their tribes. The last time he addressed the Ute tribe, he called them You-tay.
Probably going to announce that their good health care is going away to be replaced by even better Obamacare.
I believe the old saying goes something along the lines of “Our government has promised to take care of indians for 150 years and look where that’s gotten them.”
Will his honorary name be Chief Crazy Talk?
ROFLMAO!!
hey, what is with all this romantic Indian history. They were pretty blood thirsty...I’d say it was an even fight and white man won (after losing a bunch of scalps).
They had a better head start than most immigrants.
More Progressives’ brilliant “takin’care of the po victims.”
And to that I say, “Bite me.”

smoke-filled bingo halls?
Obama hates everyone whose ancestors weren't sold by his ancestors.

He’s taking over the casinos...
Okay, okay, not really. He just wants 90% of the profits.
Okay, okay, he just wants them to show him how to open a chain of national casinos, in the cafeterias of our k-12th grade schools and on our university campuses.
Okay, okay, he just wants a pretty head-dress for each of the girls.
Okay, okay, he just wants to let them know that the Arabs and they are blood brothers, and they should be working for ACORN.
Okay, okay, he just wants them to award him the position of honorary chief, so the rest of the world will quite ridiculing him.
Okay, okay, he wants to let them know he’s on their side. Columbus was an evil dude.
Okay, okay, Obama just wants to know if he can come live with them once his administration is over. Things aren’t looking good.
Okay, okay, it’s the organizer in him, and he wants to gift them with a racial organization whose initials are the NAARP.
Okay, okay, he just wants them to know they have the abortion option. If they don’t use it, his race is going to be reduced to the third minority instead of just second.
Okay, okay, he wants them all to register to vote, so he can replace all the people who voted for him last time, but have checked out since.
Okay, okay, he just wants some group to come in and smoke the peace pipe with him. Nobody else will...
Chief Running Mouth.
Getting together for a few bottles of wobble water.
He is looking for one of the tribes to declare that he has 1/32 Native American heritage. And ... voila ... ipso presto ... a Natural Born Citizen by default!
OK folks. It’s now time for picking Obama’s honorary Indian name to be bestowed upon him at this Council meeting.
I’m questioning the timing of this so close to Thanksgiving. Must be the continuation of the “Apology Tour” as some here have said.
By law and treaty, American Indians are not just another minority.
On Columbus Day? This guy’s timing is purposeful...and intended to be a finger in the eye.
I wonder how many times he’ll draw comparisons between NA and Black suffrage?
We'll know... if the WH staff passes out peace pipes.
rofl thanx for the pic.
He just wants to remind them how great and wonderful socialized medicine and government relocation are./s
That is so funny, I can’t stop laughing!
Great photo!!! ROFL!!!
hahaha - good one!
Geeeze he’ll be ceding all our land back to them....
How much land do you have?
Obama is NOT well-liked among the native American community.

Diane Humetewa Probably has a lot to do with that.

“I took Indian Law at ASU and one thing that surprised me was how much jurisdiction the federal government has in Indian Country—that means that the US Attorney (especially for Arizona) needs to have extensive experience in Indian Law.
That’s why there was widespread excitement in the ASU Indian Law Department when President Bush appointed ASU Indian Law Center graduate Diane Humetewa as US Attorney. Not only did Diane know Indian Law, but she was Native American, and some folks felt it was a nice touch to have a highly qualified native American woman working with Arizona’s 23 Indian Tribes.
Now the Obama Administration has replaced Humetewa with a 46 year old white guy who doesn’t have experience with Indian Law, but is well connected in Democratic circles—former Napolitano Chief of Staff Dennis Burke.
Burke will replace Diane Humetewa, who resigned in July after failing to get an endorsement to retain her job from Arizonas House Democrats.
Humetewa, the first female Native American to be named U.S. attorney, was appointed by the Bush administration.
The move is, of course, purely political. No one is claiming that Burke is somehow more qualified than Humetewa—he’s just better connected in a Democratic Administration.
But Wait a second. I thought that one of the worst failings of the evil Bush Administration was politicizing the Justice Department?”
