No problem. The more people know about this, the more people will show up. Which is a plus in my book.

Good Its close to the November elections and they should get at least a million maybe two million. It will be hard to ignore moms then especially if things keep going down.
It will also keep the flame burning
One problem could be though is they will not have the money to go. So if someone want to go they should pay for it now! and have everything read so they can go no matter what!

Wow, this might be a date I can make! My second son has been nagging for a trip to DC for years, and the youngest will be at a tolerable age - not a tiny infant, but not needing to use the Facilities.

Those of us on Tricare For Life (military health ins) + Medicare part B are going to get double whammied with the cuts and increases in co-pays. O really cares for our senior citizens doesn't he....and NO pay raise for those of us on SS for the next 2 years, BUT congress gave themselves a hefty pay raise and MORE perk money.

This from a google search: http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

My father was in the Navy for 32 years, and then I married an Air Force Sergeant. I spent more than half my life with military medical services.

A couple of observations: First, the day I walked into a civilian pediatric practice, where I’d made an *appointment* for my daughter to see a *doctor*, saw the *doctor* in 30 minutes, wrote a check for $35 (it was a while ago), and left, was a Red Letter Day in my life.

Second, it didn’t used to be so complicated. Basically, you went to the clinic and waited, and eventually you’d see ... a corpsman, or a nurse, or a physician assistant, or *somebody* for whatever ailed you. Under the Tricare system, you might do less hanging out at the clinic, but it’s an organizational disaster.

Possibly probably.

I don’t know. I’m sure if you asked, they would be more than happy to tell you.

One thing I noticed, is that they seem to be growing fairly quickly. I was on the site like a week ago and there wasn’t much there yet.

Now, there’s a florida chapter, wisconsin, a few others.

I hope this steamrolls into something the media doesn’t like.

We need to start the ball rolling as soon as possible in regards to hotel rooms, buses etc. We can coordinate to share rooms, check on the least expensive airline flights and such.

It seems safe to assume that they want to do this on the national mall.

I couldn’t see an address/locaton on the site though.

My first hubby was in the Army (Vietnam era), and I had a little taste of what their health care was, they did great with teeth. Never had to use the medical except as Champus.

I am a newly wed of 1 year, he did his 20 in the Navy, a Senior Chief. So I now have Medicare and TRL. We use civilian medical services, so far except for the screw up with paying their share for my name brand synthroid, which needs prior approval, the generic brand is NOT the same, it causes mouth ulcers and your hair to fall out. I can't get it approved by TFL, but 2 friends have done so because they have the same reaction to the generic brand. I've no complaints about the coverage. What Medicare B does not pay TRL does. The only co-pays are for meds.

BUT under zero's plan I'll pay a lot higher co-pays and deductibles and higher Medicare B rates.
