She is believing a conspiracy theory, whether she wants to admit to being a nut or not. A conspiracy is a plot by 2 or more persons.
There WAS a conspiracy to carry out the 9-11 attacks. Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda.
The COMPETING conspiracy theory is to say that “Bush knew” and the government “let it happen” (augmented by controlled demolition) or that the planes were flown by remote control and a missile was launched at the Pentagon painted to look like a plane and the actual plane and passengers “disappeared”.
Ask her how many people were involved in the OKC bombing, 2 or more? 2 were convicted. We know that we let some people go for testimony. And all hunt for John Doe 2 was dropped and the witnesses were told “he didn’t really exist”.
But she’s not a nut, right?

The Presidential detail is contaced about several middle eastern men claiming to be press, who use the name of a fictitious SS agent as entree. The Presidential detail does not seek to detain them, but tells them to call the WH press office. Was this agent promoted to counterfeit division in Dutch Harbor?

I recall reading that there was one flight that had 4 Islamic men on it that returned to gate after the airline system was shutdown in the aftermath of the two WTC hits - they refused to leave the plane until it was explained to them that it would not leave.
When they finally realized that airline officials knew of the other hijackings they literally bolted from the plane and were not able to be located by authorities.
The 911 Commission missed an awful lot of the total plot - the parts that failed!!
IIRC, there was a reason. In planning multi attacks, all were to happen at approx. the same time, 9 a.m....even ones on the West Coast. But, obviously the terrorists forgot one little item...the time difference. So, if all were to happen at around 9 a.m. the ones on the East Coast took place according to their scheduled time, but in other areas, it was earlier in the morning. So, the terrorists were waiting for 9 a.m. wherever else they were hiding and waiting to board the planes, etc.
When the first three planes had crashed into the towers and the Pentegon, and the fourth crashed in PA, the airways were restricted. Therefore, no other planes were taking off. Thus those terrorists prepared for a 9 a.m. attack in the other time zones had no chance of proceeding with their mission.
At least that is the way it was explained just after 9-11 when reports came out. I believe it was true, there is always something dumb that people do in planning dissasters like this. Thank goodness!
I remember reading about this assasination attempt after 9/11/01.
just looking at it logistically, I tend to think not. The variables invovled would include knowing the schedule (how far in advance is this done?) etc. The airliners were fixed-time targets.
Just a guess but I think the flights were delayed for some reason and by the time they were ready to take off air traffic knew about the hijackings on other flights.

All this happen within 15 minutes of each other. A delay would have been the difference between life and death.
I don’t think we are saying different things. Al Qadea would have killed President Bush on 9/11 or on any ocassion because of the prestige it would have given them.
The U.S., for instance, tried to avoid hitting the Imperial Palace in Tokyo during the War because we did not want to rile up the Japanese people. It was a good strategy because the Emperor was the one who decided to surrender eventually. It would have been difficult for a regent of whatever surviving heirs to have surrendered under any conditions.
On the other hand, I think the election of Obama was a major victory for the terrorists, a victory aided and abetted by the American Lame Stream media. I don’t think Obama is necessarily a terrorist, but he clearly ran as the appeasement president. The American people became so demoralized by the hydra-headed Walter Cronkite wannabees in the LSM that they turned to this feckless cypher.

The Colony Beach and Tennis Resort, where Bush stayed the night before 9/11.
On the night of September 10th, Bush stayed at the Colony Beach Resort—“an upscale and relatively pristine tropical island enclave located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, a spindly coral island… off Sarasota, Florida.” Zainlabdeen Omer, a Sudanese native living in Sarasota, told the local police that night that someone he knew who had made violent threats against Bush was in town and Omer was worried about Bush’s safety. The man was identified only as “Ghandi.” A police report states the Secret Service was informed immediately.
After a private dinner with various Florida politicians (including his brother Jeb) and Republican donors, Bush went to bed around 10:00 p.m. Surface-to-air missiles were placed on the roof of the resort , and an Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) plane circled high overhead.
...An Assassination Attempt?
Bush awoke a little before 6:00 a.m. on September 11, pulled on shorts and an old T-shirt and laced up his running shoes. [CBS, 11/1/02] At 6:30 a.m., Bush, a reporter friend, and his Secret Service crew took a four-mile jog in the half-light of dawn around a nearby golf course. [Washington Post, 1/27/02, Washington Post, 09/11/01]
At about the same time Bush was getting ready for his jog, a van carrying several Middle Eastern men pulled up to the Colony’s guard station. The men said they were a television news crew with a scheduled “poolside” interview with the president. They asked for a certain Secret Service agent by name. The message was relayed to a Secret Service agent inside the resort, who hadn’t heard of the agent mentioned or of plans for an interview. He told the men to contact the president’s public relations office in Washington, DC, and had the van turned away. [Longboat Observer, 9/26/01]
...Nearly three hours after the incident at the Colony, another Longboat Key resident reported a run-in with possibly the same men. At about 8:50 (when reports of the first World Trade Center crash were first broadcast), while standing on the Sarasota bay front waiting for the presidential motorcade to pass by, this man saw two Middle Eastern men in a dilapidated van “screaming out the windows ‘Down with Bush’ and raising their fists in the air.” The FBI questioned the man, but it’s not known if this was the same van that had visited the Colony. Later on the morning of September 11, the Secret Service searched a Sarasota apartment looking for further corroboration of Zainlabdeen Omer’s report of an assassination threat. Three Sudanese men were questioned for about ten hours. The Secret Service also raided a beauty supply store in Sarasota, whose owner, identified as “Hakim,” told the agents that “Ghandi” was a member of the Sudanese People’s Liberation Army, a group fighting against the fundamentalist Muslim government in Sudan. [Hopsicker, 7/22/02]
Monica Yadav of Sarasota’s ABC News 40 reported that a few days after the Secret Service visit, the beauty supply store was closed up and Hakim was long gone. Yadav also learned that Zainlabdeen Omer had suddenly quit his jobs and vacated his apartment. “All I know is he can’t leave town,” a friend of Omer’s told Yadav. “Omer got in a lot of trouble with the law.” The Special Agent in charge of the Presidential detail in Sarasota told Yadav that Bush was never in any danger and the various warnings and possible terrorist connections were all “just a coincidence.”
