NEW YORK (AP) - One of President Barack Obama's top aides says Fox News Channel acts like a wing of the Republican Party.
White House Communications Director Anita Dunn told CNN's "Reliable Sources" on Sunday that Fox News operates "almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party."
It's another sign of the White House's aggressively going after Fox.

I don’t know who is making these communication decisions in the White House, but they are ill conceived and ill advised. This is a battle they will lose.

FOX has to be loving this.
FOX is sort of a RINO Place.
This will only shore up Fox’s reputation as really doing its job of questioning government policies and officials —what media is SUPPOSED to do.
As Fox News refuses to follow the White House line of B.S., they must be a group of n’er-do-wells who have nothing better to do than to try and undermine every thing Obama wants to do. Perhaps, Fox has figured out the lies they tell us, and doesn’t mind showing us the truth on each item. The truth always hurts, and the White House is really hurting now.
This is just to cover for the fact that PMSDNC is a wing of the DNC Smear Machine. And now that it is being exposed, as not being a real news source, they are engaging in ‘Turnspeak’ and accusing FNC of being what their lapdog freak show channel PMSDNC actually *is*!
Apart maybe from Hannity, I don't see the conservatives on Fox as particularly supporting the Republican Party (since the Republican Party is merely the lesser of two evils when it comes to supporting conservativism). Of course they do allow Republican spokesmen to appear from time to time which probably gives them black marks from the White House.

They are doing the opposite of what Clinton did back in 1993-1994. Back then, Rush, and others on talk radio, were critical of HillaryCare. And Bill Clinton, at the time, just shrugged it off, saying things like, “Isn’t it great that we live in a country where Rush can disagree with me and talk about it on the radio.”
This year, Obama and the Dems are following a different strategy. They are “calling out” the opposition. Attacking opponents like Fox News, Glenn Beck and Rush. And they are attacking the messengers more than the message of the opposition.
This administration is actually making Bill Clinton look classy in comparison.

They actually aren't conservative. Nor need they be. They have a mix of conservative, moderate, and liberal commentators. They come across as appearing conservative when compared to all the other media arms (CBSABCNBC, CNN, MSNBC, NYT,WAP, etc) who march lockstep supporting all things socialist...
Amazing that the small people in the White House feel the need to silence any hint of dissension... I doubt the old Soviet Union commissars had thinner skin then these folks...

However, CNN, and the old-guard networks, being non-official organs of the Democrat party is of no consequence. The left thinks they are good, and conservatives are evil, so they are ready to excuse everything from simple bias to slander to lies to outright violence, as long as it furthers their righteous agenda.
The White House has inexplicably gone from ignoring Fox news, to attacking them. They must be getting close to exposing something. I wonder what? I can’t wait to find out! This stuff ought too boost viewership by millions. Thank you White House!
The commies always go after someone that has exposed, is exposing, or is going to expose them. Time and again, they use slanderous, vicious commentary rather than try to argue logically. Why - because they cannot logically defend their actions.
Someone should notify Fox, as they have not been effective lately in getting the message out. I’m not saying they have turned into CNN or MSNBC, just that they have softened over the last few years in getting the truth out.
The more the WH children complain about Fox, the more viewers Fox picks up.

Turning the tables could we not say that NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, NYT, LAT, WP, Time, Newsweek, the unions, most of the big city newspapers, academia, the teachers unions, and Hollyweird little more than appendages and mouthpieces for the Democrat Party?
Me thinks Ms. Dunn is suffering from a terminal case of PMS. That coupled with a mild case of abject stupidity.
