His Arrogance, Hussein Obama

WASHINGTON — While Russia's president congratulated President Barack Obama for winning the Nobel Peace Prize, Republicans see the award as so outrageous that they're using it to raise campaign money.

Obama won the prize "for awesomeness," says the mocking GOP fundraising letter. Obama's honor shows "how meaningless a once honorable and respected award has become," says the letter, signed by Michael S. Steele, chairman of the Republican National Committee. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev had a different view. He said the award will encourage further U.S.-Russian cooperation.

"I hope this decision would serve as an additional incentive for our common work to form a new climate in world politics and promote initiatives which are fundamentally important for global

Steele said Obama hasn't accomplished enough to deserve the prize. Numerous Democrats and independents have expressed similar views, although generally in less bombastic terms.

People are worried about jobs, not why someone thinks Obama got the Nobel. I suggest the GOP go with issues and leave this speculating for political forums if they expect to win back any seats.

Lenin Peace Prize

"The International Stalin Prize or the International Stalin Prize for Strengthening Peace Among Peoples (renamed the "International Lenin Prize for Strengthening Peace Among Peoples" as a result of destalinization) was the Soviet Union's equivalent to the Nobel Peace Prize. It was awarded by a panel appointed by the Soviet government, to notable individuals whom the panel indicated had "strengthened peace among peoples"."

Black Panther, communist radical, Angela Davis is a recipient of the "Lenin Peace Prize".

* Recipient of the Lenin “Peace Prize” from the police state of East Germany in 1979
* Provided an arsenal of weapons to Black Panthers who used them to kill a Marin Country judge in a failed attempt to free Davis' imprisoned lover, Black Panther murderer George Jackson
* Icon of the campus Left and frequent guest speaker at anti-war rallies
* Leader of a movement to free all criminals who are minorities claiming that they are political prisoners of the racist United States

A former member of the Black Panther Party, she is currently a “University Professor,” one of only seven in the entire California University system, which entitles her to a six-figure salary and a research assistant. This income is supplemented by speaking fees ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 per appearance on college campuses, where she is an icon of radical faculty, administrators, and students. Davis has also taught at UCLA and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Comrade Putin has been laughing himself silly since November 4, 2008.

Me, I’d like to dig a bomb shelter.

Steele’s probably got handlers watching our reaction yesterday and thought his comments would be received well.

Not that there was any doubt, but if Russia likes it, we’re screwed.

Poor, poor Barack Nobel Obama - how can he now possibly support an Afghan surge? Or support Israel? (Oh never mind that last one - he wouldn’t do that anyway.)

If so, the problem with that is that we're already voting GOP for the most part. He needs a message to win over at least some of the Dems and independents who voted for Obama, and harping on the Nobel won't do it.

That’s accurate.

Mr. Steele, you did good.

Keep it up and I might send the RNC a few bucks.
