The Jihadists plotting terror attacks against the west, including US soil, may no longer be those with origins from Middle East as what it was for the 9/11 terror attack, but from South Asia, Pakistan and Afghanistan in specific, hinting more involvement of Taliban.
In the 9/11 terror attack, the plan was engaged and orchestrated by Arabs with origins of Middle East. However, in the London Bombings engaging transportation system, the terror was launched by non-Arabs, and with more interaction with Pakistan. Mohammed Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, and Hasib Hussain, and Jamaican-born Jermaine Lindsay were involved in the London bombings. Two of the bombers belong to parents from Pakistan. In addition to this, 11 Pakistani suspects were arrested in north west England in connection with an alleged terror plot.
In September 2009, several individuals fell under suspicion, and were arrested, with one planning for an attack against New York subway system. Najibullah Zazi, with two others were detained. Najibullah Zazi is also from South Asian region, Afghanistan in specific. While it is linked to Al Qaida for this incident, it may have been Taliban that have played a role instead. Najibullah Zazi was born in Paktia region of eastern Afghanistan. Pakita region is predominated by Pushtun tribes.
There is strong ties between Taliban and Pushtun, and it is likely the Taliban is mostly made up of Pushtun tribes. If you compare maps rating regional security levels of Afghanistan and Pakistan, you will find out that the most violence are concentrated in Pushtun tribe predominated regions. In Iraq, you also may have found out Kurdish redominated region had high security standards, while Sunni predominated central region was the center of gravity of violence. In other words, Jihadists of both in Iraq and Afghanistan favor to operate in regions that likely share ethnicity, or religious sects, because the population of those regions are more likely to support them protecting those after such ambush, and providing shelter and food. In Afghanistan, what is likely supporting Taliban is the Pushtun tribes, because the taliban is mostly made up of their ethnics, and the reason for more activity in Pushtun predominated regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
If Najibullah Zazi is from a Pushtun tribe, there may be a link between Taliban and Najibullah Zazi, who may share sympathy with Taliban not just in terms of religion beliefs, but also in terms of ethnic backgrounds. In other words, Taliban may had a role in assisting Najibullah Zazi for such plots of terror on US soil. In straight words, Taliban could be partially responsible for plotting terror attacks on US. Taliban has just claimed in early October that they had no interests but its own home ground, but it was likely an information warfare in fear of possible military buildup in Afghanistan by the US. Since the London Bombings, and up to this point of terror plots in US which ended with an US citizen with origins from Afghanistan, there may be a likely trend of more terror plots engaged by South Asian entities. In straight words, it might not be Al Qaida, but Taliban as the major player today, which is planning terror attacks on western countries, and on US soil as well. Taliban could be transforming into Neo-Al Qaida, taking over the roles and strategies of Al Qaida. There are stories that White House is planning to be less interested in fighting Taliban, and fighting Al Qaida instead. There are more rumors about likely Iranian support to Taliban, which may be seeking for a Jihadist belt of Iran-Afghanistan-Pakistan. If the pressure is removed from Taliban, it will likely give Taliban the Neo-Al Qaida more freedom to engage plotting attacks on US soil, and allow more chance for Taliban to over run Pakistan once again, with both Taliban of Afghanistan and Pakistan helping eachother, including to take over control of nuclear sites which such nuclear weapon, even in the form of dirty bomb, could be shared between Al Qaida for attacks against Israel, and US. The plot by Najibullah Zazi could be the beginning for Taliban, Neo-Al Qaida, as a prelude for the next 9/11 attack on US soil.
I’m sure Obama will say the Taliban has legit role in terrorism too.
You can call it Al Qaida; you can call it Taliban; you can call it CAIR; you can call it the FOI — by any name it is Islam’s war against civilization.
“In the 9/11 terror attack, the plan was engaged and orchestrated by Arabs with origins of Middle East.”
They were SAUDIS financed by a SAUDI. Cripes...”Arabs with origins of Middle East” my white Irish arse...the Taliban were hosts...they want to run their little third world shithole tribal fiefdoms and will fight on that godforsaken moonscape until they are all dead to keep out the “new world” which to them is anything that occured after the 7th century...threat? No.

There were many Saudis involved, but also some from other Arab countries, and that is why I did not mention Saudi Arabia in specific.
True, but Obama does not want Taliban on his list as a target of war on terror, and only Al Qaida. In other words, there is intel that Obama might be using this as an excuse not to send more troops to Afghanistan. This is one of the reason I wrote this report.
The idea of terrorism is a cancer, just as much as Islam is a cancer. They are independant. I believe major terrorism will grow, as more groups see that it’s possible to do massive damage with the proper planning. Now especially, with the weak POTUS we are saddled with. God help us.
Interesting!
Please. Saudi-inspired, Saudi-planned, Saudi-run, Saudi-financed and Saudi-executed. Bin Laden cited Americans in Saudi territory as impetus for attack in 1998...hardly a pan-Arab movement.
Taliban, al-Queda, the Philippine Muslim insurgents — they are just branches of the Global Jihad. We need to focus on the roots — Islam itself, and its mandate for Jihad.
They all should be told that another attack like 9/11 would result in the vaporization of anyone or country that does such a thing.
There is a name for the root of jihad...Saudi Arabia...shit, we won't drill, so we can't go after the Saudi financing, where the money comes from, or we dare not invade the Pakis, where the atomic bomb and continued nuclear threat and the Al Q hideouts are, we won't shut down North Korea and we won't take on the madrassas and the breeding ground and source of the financing for Jihad world wide...the Saudis. We will not stop Iran from develivering a nuke to Isreal. So instead, we get all worked up over 7th century camel jockeys in the ass end of the universe...cripes, this is pathetic.
If it says “Allah Akbar”, (it’s a) duck and cover.
Once again, not all were Saudis involved. Let’s get the facts straight and not get excited. Calm down.
Hijackers: Mohamed Atta al Sayed (Egyptian), Waleed al-Shehri (Saudi Arabian), Wail al-Shehri (Saudi Arabian), Abdulaziz al-Omari (Saudi Arabian), Satam al-Suqami (Saudi Arabian). Marwan al-Shehhi (from the United Arab Emirates), Fayez Banihammad (from the United Arab Emirates), Mohand al-Shehri (Saudi Arabian), Hamza al-Ghamdi (Saudi Arabian), Ahmed al-Ghamdi (Saudi Arabian), Hani Hanjour (Saudi Arabian), Khalid al-Mihdhar (Saudi Arabian), Majed Moqed (Saudi Arabian), Nawaf al-Hazmi (Saudi Arabian), Salem al-Hazmi (Saudi Arabian).
Mohamed Atta al Sayed, Marwan al-Shehhi, and Fayez Banihammad are the few not from Saudi Arabia. Yes, most were Saudis, but not all.

Stop it. Who the hell do you think you are talking to? Calm down? When did I appear "not calm" or unaware of history? I know who was involved and who plotted, planned and executed it. And I know who financed it. And so do you.
There will be no forward movement against the jihadists until the Saudis are cut off at the knees. And that means their money.
The Taliban is a ridiculous waste of lives, time, money and most importantly, a stupid and dangerous diversion from our goals and our true enemies.
either way, .... its the religion of peace at work again.
and BObs wants to be friends with the taliban?
Could it be Moslems of any and every “nationality?”
