LONDON (CNN) — Did President Obama land a Nobel peace prize at such an early stage of his presidency simply because he's not George W. Bush?
Diplomatic circles are certainly not dismissing such a notion and a "surprised and humbled" Obama has himself agreed that the award (for which nominations had to be submitted only two weeks after his inauguration) can hardly have been a recognition of anything he has yet accomplished. It is a prize for aspiration rather than achievement.

Yep, and he didn’t win it; he was handed it on a silver platter so that all the crap he has messed up could be covered up.
You have to admit, Bush is a powerful man. He continues to affect the economy and he won a Nobel for 0.
Well, since he or his surrogates would have had to put in for it no later than 12 days after the immaculation, I’d say that’s a big part of it. But mostly I’d say it’s because he’s the most psychotic leftist ever voluntarily elected in the Western Hemisphere.

The Nobel Prize lost all intergity when Carter and Yasser Arafat won it. Obamas prize is just more proof that it has become nothing more than a “Hate America” prize.

It occurs to me that aspirations are like hemorrhoids, sooner or later every asshole gets a few.
That’s one way to look at it.I prefer to think of it as him winning it because he has as much contempt for this country as does the Norwegian government (which appoints the Nobel Committee).
Whatever the reason for this award, if it causes him to hem-haw around any more on a strategy for Afghanistan, WHILE MORE AMERICANS DIE, that is something I will neither FORGIVE or FORGET.

The problem with Bush as far as European conserns was that he didn’t cow tow to them on every issue.
Now we have Obama, and he is their president, not ours.
So sure, Obama’s actions get more approval. That being said, he is still a laughing stock, and although Europe is happy to have a lackey, a lackey will never have their full respect.
They be happy as larks because he’s selling us out, and think he’s an ignorant slob at the same time. I won’t be happy, but I’ll agree with them on the later.

Is it possible that Bush is greater than I give him credit for? I’m NOT a bush-bot, but if everything nowadays is done as an anti-Bush statement then Bush is overshadowing everything and is the measurement that the lefties use.
If that is the case then Obama will always be compared to Bush and will never be his own man.

Also, it’s affirmative action, like his Harvard Law degree, which I suspect he did little to earn. He taught law for ten years after graduating without ever producing even a single article. Nothing but affirmative action can explain why he was not fired from his job as an instructor (not professor).
Then Notre Dame gave him an Honorary Doctorate in law, although he has written nothing and done little or nothing with his law degree. That too can only be explained as affirmative action. No doubt Fr. Jenkins LOVES ABORTION, and wanted to reward it, but there are plenty of other abortionists he could have chosen to give a degree. Why Obama, who had done nothing? Normally an Honorary Doctorate is only given to those with remarkable accomplishments in their field.

Rush Limbaugh was going to put himself up for the so-called peace prize - I thought that was brilliant - maybe he’ll do it again. Imagine liberals’ with their head exploding when Rush takes the stage :)

No, CNN, the peace prize award was done so as to maintain libeals and CNN into the opiate of the Obama embruns they breath.
