[There are no graphic images in the article proper. They are accessed through a slide show only.]
The photographs are graphic and detailed, showing the fingers or toes of aborted fetuses whose entire frames are no bigger than a cellphone. Since the mid-1990s, they have appeared all over the country carried as posters by protesters, handed out with pamphlets or, in some cases, mounted like billboards on the sides of trucks.
Like many others, I often wondered about the source of these images. Who took the pictures? Where did the fetuses come from?
I had a chance to find some answers while reporting in late September on the death of James Pouillon, the anti-abortion protester who was shot and killed in Owosso, Mich. [See Saturday's presentation on the subject in The New York Times.]

I bet what she has seen first hand, in person, complete with scent, has made her rough. No one with a conscience could see those images in person and not be unscathed.
The fact that the New York Times even admits to victims of abortion, much less graphic pictures is a huge step.
Kudos to the brave woman who is trying to expose this crime against humanity.....and thanks to the writer of this timely NYT piece

She’s a brave and courageous woman. She has opened the eyes of many who have seen her work. It is a rough task indeed but thank God that someone like her is doing it.

Step by step; inch by inch. Return us, Dear Lord, to a culture of life.
Prayers for the precious innocents.

Those photos speak volumes. First saw them travelling thru CA and they left a mark. I was raised to think of it as choice. No arguing could convince me that what was shown in those pictures was right all the logic in the world doesn’t change that a human was cut to shreds.
I have since, on one occasion, stood beside the road holding those signs myself.
So do the comments after the article.
The exhibit of real human fetuses and embryos taught anyone with eyes that pro-aborts were lying in the 70's when they called preborns "blobs of tissue."
Indeed the comments do to. Reading the article of the three babies chopped up in a jar that had to be reassembled sent shivers.
In high school I held a glass jar containing a pickled fetus that was intact. It was dreadful. Supposedly it was a stillborn and it was part of the biology depts specimen collection. It had been brought back to the US from central america by one of the professors who came from there.
There will only be one way to stop this carnage. As in the old testament days, and in the days of the Church, when evil is purged from the land, force will one day ( force of law and its enforcement ) be required to halt this holocaust. And there will be squeals of “you are persecuting me”.
Look, and leave a comment. You really do need to leave a comment.

My comment has yet to be published ... it is STILL awaiting moderation, yet there are 25 comments after mine that have been published ...
God forgive us.
left a comment, but they are screening them, needs approval to be put up.
Thanks for the ping, comment left.
Okay America, close your eyes and just keep repeating, “we’re not Nazi Germany, we’re not Nazi Germany...”
approval granted.......my comment appears now.
I clearly recall the moment I became solidly pro-life. Being only 15 during the roe v/s wade decision, didn’t have a clue about anything. Fast forward 10 years and I was on a business trip into St. Louis on the anniversary of R v Wade (didn’t realize that until after) and there were people standing at stoplights and I thought “crap....I don’t have any money” as I thought they were wanting donations. Anyway, as fate would have it, I was caught at one of the red lights and someone from a group walked over and handed a newspaper type paper to me; didn’t ask for money or anything. When I looked at it, it contained graphic pictures of aborted fetuses piled in a dumpster in the back of a CA physician’s practice. Those photos changed my view forever. That’s why the insane left has a fit every time billboards or posters or anything is shown......it just might change someone’s mind or as in my case (never thought anything about abortion to that point) bring stark reality into focus. Bless anyone who can expose the truth.

What a rude, crass remark about a true warrior!
God bless you Monica Miller.
Thanks for the ping!
Thanks for pinging!
That was the gist of my comment.
We were talking about these pics the other day. She has likely done more to change America’s thinking about abortion than all the Pro-Life groups combined. Those pics are hard to look at since they are undeniable what they are. Those are not fetuses, they’re babies w/o a question.
Pray for America and the Women Destroyed by Abortion
“Look and leave a comment.”
Disgusting is one comment. Horrific is another. Heart-rending is one more. Abhorent is pretty good. Murder is another. Pathetic execution of an innocent human that experienced the horror and fear of murder is one more.
May G-d forgive us.
I clearly recall the moment I became solidly pro-life.
For me, 8th Grade Catholic School with a presentation of various aborted children at different developmental stages and a history lesson on Margret Sanger, the founder of planned parenthood.EVERYONE was convinced.
We had a couple black girls in class who wanted to firebomb Planned Parenthood after learning about Sanger.
I finally left my comment. Hopefully it will be approved soon. Writing a comment wasn’t difficult. Editing out all the brutal honesty to it would be approved was the hard part.
Our HS biology dept also had a fetus in a jar. It was very old and I have no idea where it came from, but I think it was important for the students to see that this was just a tiny person, NOT a blob of tissue. Whoever that little person in the jar was, she likely changed someone’s mind about what abortion is.
I no longer feel tolerant or charitable toward those who work to protect this evil, like the current oval office occupant worked in IL to protect the murdering of just born alive infants.
One might argue (speciously) that a ten weeks from conception human being has no concept of pain or life, but forcing a baby to be born prematurely, so that alive child struggles for sometimes hours trying to breath and live only to struggle, suffer and suffocate, alone, unattended, is beyond stupid ignorance, it is willful demonic directed action.
Barack Obama is dead-soul wicked in that way! And too many of the Ameircan populace mebrace him as some kind of savior.
Evil, pure evil, struts openly now across the land. We will pay the price for embracing such evil. America is on the verge of chaos, mayhem, and utter bloody conflict, as the animals who would embrace such an evil man will not hesitate to commit any atrocity to get what they want to survive at any cost.
By rejecting the formulation and affirmation of taboos against such evils, the society has plummeted into wanton debauchery and degeneracy. God is not mocked.
I won’t look upthread at the images I presume are there but yours is a very good comment.
Left a message and it is up now.
How interesting. I was a product of Public Ed. and of course they wouldn’t dare teach anything like that. Sanger was a Nazi b*tch and it’s a shame that women of color don’t know the history of her. But it wasn’t just racial it was also economics...i.e. ‘poor’ women (white included). A whole new twist on ‘cleansing’ was invented with that Nazi.

The comment I just posted:
You can NOT justify the killing of innocents by pretending to know their fate.
Most abortions in America are the result of selfishness, not poverty. They are a result of a culture with no sense of consequence, which promotes no sense of responsiblity. Those pretending that late term abortions are rare, NEVER advocate for outlawing them. Nobody presenting the bleeding heart arguments for abortion are willing to restrict abortion to those narrow circumstances.
I once had a hate-filled female tell me that the images are proof of successful exercise of women's rights ... such spiritual deadness is impossible to penetrate with love or tolerance.
Is this something that is going to be upsetting? I just woke up and feel like going back to bed and your title suggests some rather disturbing pictures.
I already a little baby body parts post last month and was sickened, cried and nauseated.
If it is something different then, that isn’t going to make me ill, I will click through.
Let me know thanks.
I don’t think anything makes our LORD more sorrowful than this hideous act against our most innocent. May God use her work to his Glory.
1996 Democratic Party National Platform
I firmly believe that Fr. Frank is correct.
Please watch the video available on-line called Hard Truth at Abortion Videos . It is perhaps the most powerful film ever produced on abortion. Actual footage of living, in-utero children and their aborted peers tell the hard truth about abortion in ways "just words" never will. Hard Truth packs such unprecedented power that viewers can scarcely watch without being profoundly affected. In total, the film is only nine minutes long, and except for the introduction, there is no narration.
Then go to http://www.priestsforlife.org/resources/abortionimages/index.htm , and see the horrible reality of abortion via color photographs.
I also highly recommend reading Abortion: the Silent Holocaust. It was written by Fr. John Powell, S.J. (Click on abortion: books then scroll.) I believe it is one of the most important books on the subject ever written. This book has overwhelming importance for readers from high-school age onward, as well as adult study. The author speaks directly to the reader as few writers can. He takes you along his personal journeys from his studies in Germany and tour of the death camp in Dachau, through his work in the pro-life movement.
Comprehensive education of adults, and more importantly school students, is
THE MISSING KEY OF THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT
Ignorance is the greatest weapon of the pro-abortion side.
A Pro-Life Prayer For Our President And Public Officials
Lord God, Author of Life and Source of Eternal Life,
Move the hearts of all our public officials and especially our President, to fulfill their responsibilities worthily and well to all those entrusted to their care.
Help them in their special leadership roles, to extend the mantle of protection to the most vulnerable, especially the defenseless unborn, whose lives are threatened with extermination by an indifferent society.
Guide all public officials by your wisdom and grace to cease supporting any law that fails to protect the fundamental good that is human life itself, which is a gift from God and parents.
You are the Protector and Defender of the lives of the innocent unborn. Change the hearts of those who compromise the call to protect and defend life. Bring our nation to the values that have made us a great nation, a society that upholds the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.
Mary, the Mother of the living, help us to bear witness to the Gospel of Life with our lives and our laws, through Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.
The photos may cause an awakening in a few pro aborts...but not many.
At this point we can pray of course but becoming pro life goes beyond acceptance of life. It has become a political issue whose dimensions go well beyond sanctity of life.
