The president will receive $1.4 million from the Nobel Peace Prize Committee for not achieving anything concrete.
He will receive $1.4 million for an award he himself says he doesnt deserve.
What should he do with the cash?
The field is all yours.

My suggestion is that he use the money to commission a bust or portrait of His Awesomeness to be displayed in the White House lobby. We apparently need to be reminded constantly of how awesome His Awesomeness is, so that seems like the best use.
Give it to ACORN to create peace.
Pay for health insurance for one year for 350 currently uninsured.
Take his wife on a dinner date in New York City.
The Presidential Limo could use some dubs and spinners!
1.4 million, huh?
What’s the going price on a conscience these days?
Ear reduction.
The photo op of AF1 flying over the Statue of Liberty?
A down payment on his next asswipe socialist scheme?
Freep-A-Thon!
Give it to the children of troops having lost their lives in Afghanistan & Iraq.
Unimportant. We must be reminded constantly how awesome this man is.
I don't know how much statues cost, but maybe something like the Lincoln Statue
would work.
Lest we forget ...
Pay just the white people in Detroit, thus starting a national race war.
New survey taken proves the need for Uhhhhbummer kare.
67% of people polled would rather have "The Plan", than spend the rest of their lives in a cell with Charley Manson.
33% said they already were in a cell with Charles in Charge.
It will go to his legal fund to keep his birth certificate under wraps.
0bama should take the 1.4 million and spend it on recording a rap album with Jay-Z and Beyonce. Get some of 0bama’s Kenyan family rapping too for street credibility
This album will fly off the shelves and make Bamster 10 times more than the initial investment
Sen. Barack Obama released seven years of prior tax return documents on Tuesday. And a review of the records reveals several newsworthy, albeit minor, disclosures.
Up until recent years when their income increased sharply from book revenues and a Senate salary, Obama's family donated a relatively minor amount of its earnings to charity. From 2000 through 2004, the senator and his wife never gave more than $3,500 a year in charitable donations -- about 1 percent of their annual earnings. In 2005, however, that total jumped to $77,315 (4.7 percent of annual earnings), and to $60,307 in 2006 (6.1 percent).
The money went to several organizations. More than $27,000 total was given to Obama's church, Trinity United Church of Christ, whose former pastor Jeremiah Wright has dominated recent news coverage. Other charity gifts included: Muntu Dance Theater, a Chicago-based company that performs contemporary and classic African dance, which received a $5,000 donation; The Rochelle Lee Fund, a literacy organization, which received a $20,000 donation; the Illinois Reading Council, which received a $25,000 donation, and CARE, the poverty fighting organization, which received a total of $31,000 in donations.
Obama also classified a $13,107 contribution to the Congressional Black Caucus as a charity gift.
Taken as a whole, these disbursements made up a small portion of Obama's annual income. According to TaxProf Blog, the Illinois senator gave "well short of the biblical 10% tithe for all seven years."
This lovely paragon of "Peace" can't come up with a better idea to help those in need than a racist church, the Congressional Black Caucus, and a dance company! $1.4M in Obama-giving should be entertaining!

Maybe.
He can stick the money up his Marxist ass for all I care...
Buy his wife a subscription to the belt of the month club.
lol. Actually she needs a whole new wardrobe and what is he going to do with the other US$1.4 million - US$1000?
Definitely capable of bearing lots of babies
I agree. Given any kind of a chance, Americans are the most giving people the world has ever known. During the Reagan era, when taxes started going down, charitable giving skyrocketed.
These Marxist/Liberal/Progressive types only seem to like "charitable" giving when it is coming out of someone else's pocket.
Legally, it is not his to give away. It belongs to the US Government.
The only charity he and the rest of the dems believe in is the government.
He should just write a check to the IRS.
Anything else is hypocrisy.
Legality hasn't been a high priority issue with this administration so far.
It belongs to the US Government.
Which is us, brother Swordmaker and I want no part of it.
TR and Woodrow Wilson kept theirs.
TR gave a lot to relatives after reniging on promises to start a peace foundation.
Wilson left his in a swedish bank to get favorable interest rates (5%).

We're a Republic. The government is our elected representatives who are supposed to be acting on our behalf and according our wishes.
He should just write a check to the IRS.
Sigh. Read that link if you've never heard of the Grace Commission.
Doesn’t this Nobel Prize money with the expectation of certain
Policy changes violate any Ethical or Lobbying laws?
They got there before we got so anal about gifts to politicians.
It will be kept in a Swiss trust until he is out of office then it will go for the down payment on their secure compound in Barbados.
Different rules then, perhaps less so for Woody.
I begrudgingly thank TR because otherwise Mrs. Altair would be unlikely to be Mrs. Altair without the colonization of the Philippines.
Both were responsible for tremendous loss of life. The aftermath of the Spanish American War against Emilio Aguinaldo in the Philippines was tragic. Woody "He kept us out of war" Wilson, of course, brought us straight into WWI after he was reelected on an antiwar platform.
It's all a crock. Has been from the start. Sadly, I think that His Awesomeness is going to be more like TR & Woody than Carter & Algore - he will be killing many people with his policies.
What should Obama do with the Nobel prize money?
One word..Enema!
Qualify the "we" please. You mean idiots like McCain and his ilk. TR was pre IRS. That was absolutely different and we were freer then. Woody introduced the IRS so he deserved everything it appears he didn't get.
And speaking of idiots (I'm looking at you John McCain), the main lesson learned from the 2008 elections is that campaign finance spending rules are only for idiots. I never check that matching campaign fund box on my tax return. Never.
+1
Reimburse U.S. taxpayers for his half of his Olympics folly.
Hear, hear!Article 1 Section 9
No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States : and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.
. . . and the Nobel "peace prize" committee is named by the Norwegian Parliament. The president - or the WH janitor - needs an act of Congress to ratify his acceptance of the title of "Nobel Peace Prize Winner" - say nothing of the million bucks - from a creature of a foreign government.
In my least generous year, I gave a larger fraction of my income to charity than Obama did in his most generous year, and I give my own money rather than other people’s money. Obama is pathetic.
Reimburse the US Government for that personal trip to Copenhagen. Oprah should as well.
Doesnt this Nobel Prize money with the expectation of certain Policy changes violate any Ethical or Lobbying laws?
Constitutionally (Article I Section 9) it requires an act of Congress to allow him to accept money - or even a title - from the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, which is as I understand it a creature of the Norwegian Parliament.
Augment the college fund for Malia and Sasha?
He should have declined the award.
But he’s been accepting unearned positions and promotions and awards for so long, he has no concept of what it means to earn something.
We as in us the government through our elected Representatives.
PRESIDENTIAL GIFTS: THEIR HANDLING AND LEGAL STATUS
Even though heads of state have traditionally exchanged gifts as expressions of goodwill, the Constitution (Article I, Section 9) prohibits anyone in the US Government from receiving a personal gift from a foreign head of state without the consent of Congress. Today, the handling of gifts from a foreign official to any Federal Government employee, including the President, is largely governed by the Foreign Gifts and Decorations Act of 1966 and further legislation passed in 1977. Congress has allowed Federal employees to retain any gift from a foreign government, as long as the total retail value of the gifts presented at one occasion does not exceed an amount established by the General Services Administration (GSA). Foreign official gifts over this minimal value are considered gifts to the people of the which the recipient must purchase from GSA, at fair market value, in order to retain. The White House Gift Unit sees to the disposition of foreign official gifts that the President and First Lady do not retain.
Domestic Gifts
Any gift not from a foreign government official is considered a domestic gift. Domestic gifts to the President and/or First Lady may be disposed of in any manner the President and First Lady wish. If they want to keep a domestic gift, they do not have to purchase it from the Government.
Reasons for Not Retaining Gifts
The President and First Lady keep for themselves only a small percentage of the gifts that they receive. Reasons for this include the following:
- The requirement to pay for certain foreign official gifts (see first section).
- The White House Gift Unit constantly receives items from the general public, and it is impossible for the President and First Lady to ever see most of them.
- To protect the President and his family, the Secret Service requires destruction of food and drink gifts, combustible items which may release fumes, and colognes and other substances that are applied to the skin.
- Any gifts retained by the President and First Lady that are not from a close relative including foreign official gifts that they keep may have to be declared in an annual disclosure report to the Office of Government Ethics.
- The President and First Lady may have to pay federal taxes on the appraised value of gifts that they keep.
What happens to gifts that the President and First Lady dont keep for themselves?
Most foreign official gifts which the President and First Lady do not retain for themselves are transferred to the National Archives by the Gift Unit, and become part of a presidential library museum collection. Most domestic gifts that the President and First Lady do not keep are given to charitable organizations or other non-Government recipients by the Gift Unit, or transferred to the National Archives for the future presidential library museum.During the Reagan Administration, the maximum retainable value was raised, in steps, from $100 to $180.
During the Reagan Administration, the law required an annual listing of all retained gifts from any source other than a relative which were valued at $35.00 or more, if the total value of such gifts that were received from that source during the year totaled $100.00 or more. For example, if President Reagan had kept three $35 gifts which he received from a particular individual in 1981, all three gifts would have been declared to OGE on the report for 1981, as their aggregate value would have been over $100.
He already said he was giving it to charity. I am surprised that Michelle of all people didn’t keep up with the latest and greatest news.
Buy a clue?
It's maybe my fault for posting late(r) news. Sorry about that if I did.
I see it as a consolation prize for having tried, and failing, to buy the Olympics for Chicago.
He should give the money to me.
