Limbaugh: 'Greater embarrassment' than losing Olympics [RINOs denounce "right-wing whining"]
Politico ^ | 2009-10-09 | Jonathan Martin

(snip)

Mike Huckabee and Tim Pawlenty — both potential 2012 presidential contenders — urged restraint.

"There will be an outcry from those on the right who will say that Obama's nomination, made two weeks into his Presidency, is impossible to justify, but I think such an outcry will sound like right-wing whining," Huckabee said in a statement. "The better response is simply to allow those on the left to explain what he did in his first two weeks as President that merited such recognition."

Pawlenty, speaking on NPR, said there "will be some people who are saying 'Was it based on good intentions and thoughts or is it going to be based on good results?'"

"But I think the appropriate response is when anybody wins a Nobel Prize, that is a very noteworthy development and designation and I think the appropriate response is to say 'Congratulations,'" said the Minnesota governor.

Are Pawlenty and Huckabee high on meth or something. I know Democrats who think this award is an absolute JOKE yet they want to CONGRATULATE him. Well, I didn’t know much about Pawlenty before, I now know everything I need to know about the guy. Huckabee’s statement, not a shock, watch his show, he kisses Obama’s ass numerous times

I think the appropriate response here is to agree that Obama does, indeed, have a lot in common with Jimmy Carter and Yasser Arafat.

What part of the words ILLEGAL, OBSENE, DEVIANT, PERVERTED, INSULTING, FRAUDULENT etc... do the RINOs not understand?

Oh, I’m sorry, we disturbed their little comfort holes in their equaly obsenely handled wealth and perversions...

RINO’s better s#ut the he!! up because they are numero uno on Obama’s wealth rape desire targets when he’ll have the place cleaned up enough. I hear he loves the smell of Wall Streeters commiting suicide off the WTC in the morning.

Uh. Huck, who is really going to force those on the left to explain? Who is going press the fact that the Nobel committee has essentially admitted they see this as a card to force Obama to make/keep making more "peaceful" choices?

These guys need to understand that it's smarter to say congratulations and...what's the valid reason? Is accomplishment supposed to be trumped by intent now?

One doesn't have to be crude or overbearing to point out the obvious problems with this.

Oh and nice job by AP and Google for trying to cover the Nobel committee, Euroweenies, and Obama's butt. It's alright though because this award will undercut Obama's role as the leader of America for many Americans and will be seen as what it is - an attempt at a leg up in the very style of affirmative action.

No, they’re not high on Meth—they’re high on RINO dung. Screw these two fools. The only thing they’ll ever be known for is 1) losing to John McCain and 2) almost being picked as McCain’s running mate. That’s it.

Real smart of Pawlenty to jump in there and wag his pointy little finger at DNC and Obama opposition.

Has anyone heard any of these gutless wonders stand up against a commie? It’s safer to wag their ample pastey fannys at the tea party folks.

The GOP leadership is dull and cowardly. Rinos will never learn that if you don’t have something nice to say about your hoped for base, shut your big pie hole. They are politically correct prigs.

Orin Hatch was on Fox congratulating the POTUS and saying how we should all be happy because he’s our president. Shyeah, riiigghtt! We don’t want anything to do with this. Please do not associate us with this in any way, Orin.

Anyway, when asked if he thought BO deserved it, Hatch kinda giggled and mumbled something under his breath. Then he said he knows the NPP will never go to a conservative or Republican; that the prize is only open to liberals and RATS. So at least he was straight about that.

Any so-called conservative that doesn’t have the political understanding to differentiate between “whining” and outright laughter - even if his intent was to tone it down a bit - has no business representing true conservatives.

Being factually correct - accurate - in your perceptions is paramount. Misidentifying something as basic as this reaction from us “terrorists” to the Nobel committee’s ludicrous presentation is a shame as bad as that owned by the Nobel committee itself.

"The better response is simply to allow those on the left to explain what he did in his first two weeks as President that merited such recognition."

This is pathetic defensive, caution-in-the-wind politics.
Huckabee: None of the liberals criticizing Obama on this, even in private, are going to get called on it. It's YOU guys.
Once again, the media puts the attention on Republican reaction and away from the outlandishness of Obama getting the prize itself.
Either don't say anything, or denounce Obama getting the prize and stick to your guns. More proof that these pretenders vying for the Presidency have no clue who they're up against.

First I cannot read her mind and she may remain mute on the subject; but there again she may acknowledge his NPP but advise Obama against using its cachet to think he can wave a magic wand over Afghanistan and expect the problems there to evaporate into thin air.

And then she might point out to him his most important role as POTUS is commander-in-chief. All other titles comes second.

But again she may remain mute I am OK with that as well.

Huckabee is one of the biggest whining political babies out there. He spent every minute on the campaign trail last year whining about how much money Romney had, how Romney wasn’t playing fair, and how Rush and Hannity weren’t giving him a fair shake.

And now he wants to call out conservatives as sounding like right wing whiners? Well I’ll never forget the way Huckabee helped McCain win the nomination last year: by secretly conspiring with McCain to edge out everyone else in states like W. Virginia.

I hate Romney... but Huckabee really pisses me off. He’s a sniveling little chubby rat snake. With the personality of a raccoon.

Maybe.

Or perhaps it’s been observed time and again that when we’re silent it allows The Left time to regroup and the opportunity to re-inforce a point is lost. The point here is that he’s done nothing of value. The contrast between the award and Obama’s “accomplishments” needs to be made. Mockery serves a purpose. Even the Obama W.H. and CNN agree. It’s why they responded badly to the SNL skit.

The point is the same one that even McCain was smart enough to make once upon a time. That he is a “celebrity” but not of much use beyond that celebrity to this country and it’s real challenges.

Perhaps you believe if we’re silent in our mockery the Left would continue to flounder in response? Or you think the American people would not be misled by whatever talking point they crafted to save face? Than you have more faith in both than I do. I’ve seen no evidence that ever works for us. Feel free to supply evidence otherwise. But I’d use the Bush years of not beng pro-active on issues both dear and small as an example that attitude does not work.
