Huckabee warns Republicans on Nobel reaction Posted: October 9th, 2009 12:20 PM ET From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney (CNN) Mike Huckabee is advising his fellow Republicans to temper their criticism of President Barack Obama's Nobel Peace Prize award. In a posting on his blog, the former GOP presidential candidate writes that members of his party must be careful their comments don't sound like "right-wing whining." "There will be an outcry from those on the right who will say that Obama's nomination, made two weeks into his presidency, is impossible to justify, but I think such an outcry will sound like right-wing whining," Huckabee wrote. "The better response is simply to allow those on the left to explain what he did in his first two weeks as President that merited such recognition."

Also Pawlenty Twittered this:
"appropriate response' to Obama winning the Nobel Prize is to say 'congratulations".
Huck and TPaw clearly haven’t read “Rules for Radicals”.
Ridicule is effective, keep going.
And don't complain about how liberal politicians typically win the Grammy for spoken word album either, right?
What a joke.
Both those bastards can go f*ck themselves. Or likely each other.
I want Sarah Palin’s comments! The heck with the RINOs!
They can both stuff it!
I’m tired of RINOs telling conservatives how to react.
This is the same president who spit on England’s bust of Winston Churchill and sent it back home.
Hey, Huckster, please RETIRE and GO AWAY, you spineless dolt!!! And can you take McCan’t and MittCare Romney with you? PLEASE?!
Whining??
We’re deliriously HAPPY!!
.......at the same time as rolling one's eyes.....
ROTFLMAO! isn’t that the truth.
My liberal friend thought I was joking about the peace prize awarded to 0bama today and when he realized I was serious he said:
“Now 0bama will just be able to coast through the rest of his presidency. It’s like being given an A before you take the class.”
Go away, Huck! This is too ridiculous to be made into a partisan issue. I request, nay demand, Republicans and Democrats alike point and laugh.
Shut Up, Huck!
Go play some bad guitar.
Laughing at Hussein and the Tiger Beat Nobel committee.
And now we are laughing at you.
Damn staight...
How did he deserve an honorary law degree from Notre Dame when he’s never done or written ANYTHING as a lawyer or a legal scholar?
How does he deserve the Nobel Peace Prize when he has accomplished, so far, zero? Which is to put the best face on what he HAS actually accomplished, which is to encourage tyrants and terrorists everywhere.
I’d say he deserves it about as much as Yasir Arafat deserved it. How’d that work out?
This namby pamby, don’t ruffle their feathers and just shut up attitude is exactly why the OP(formerly the GOP) is in disarray and is desperately searching for an identity.
huckadoodlelysquat couldn’t lead a 3 year old to a crapper
Isn’t that precious?
Seems to be the new meme for 2012 candidates to talk to their peers and constituents in that ‘let’s all be adults here and get along with Obama’ tone. Same goes for Jindal telling fellow Republicans that it’s okay to have opposed ObamaCare initially, but now let’s introduce a Republicanized version ourselves.
You’re right, ridicule works. Not whining, but ridicule.
I don’t think they get that. Almost every Conservative I’ve seen has been laughing hysterically over this. It’s insane, you can’t take it seriously.
Two informally dressed ladies happened to start up a conversation during an endless wait in the LAX airport.
The first lady was an arrogant California woman married to a wealthy man.
The second was a well mannered elderly woman from the South.
When the conversation centered on whether they had any children, the California woman started by saying, “When my first child was born, my husband built a beautiful mansion for me.”
The lady from the South commented, “Well, isn’t that precious?”
The first woman continued, “When my second child was born, my husband bought me a beautiful Mercedes-Benz..
Again, the lady from the South commented, “Well, isn’t that precious?”
The first woman continued boasting, “Then, when my third child was born, my husband bought me this exquisite diamond bracelet.
Yet again, the Southern lady commented, “Well, isn’t that precious?”
The first woman then asked her companion, “What did your husband buy for you when you had your first child?”
“My husband sent me to charm school,” declared the Southern lady.
“Charm school?” the first woman cried, “Oh, my God! What on earth for?”
The Southern lady responded, “Well for example, instead of saying “Who gives a sh!t?” I learned to say, “Well, isn’t that precious”...
Yeah well Huck in the beginning of the year gave obama so many chances and said maybe he was doing things for the right reasons, so give him awhile.
By the time HUCK woke up and warned people, Obama had taken over 600 private corps.
Thanks Huck. But no thanks! Obama has done nothing to deserve the prize. Unless they compared him to Yassir Arafat the terrorist who also received the prize.
Now wait a minute, let’s think about this. I think Huck is on to something here. Let the non-political types, i.e. Rush, SNL, Leno etc. make the snide jokes about Obama winning the Prize, because ridicule does really work against him.
But the GOP politicians come out smelling better if they stay above the fray and either say nothing or just smile.
its hilarious
Huckabee, S**U

If we can't ridicule the peace prize...does this mean we have to go back to the Huckabee shirts?
Shut up, Huckster. Just because you are impressed with with ballons and soapy “Big Sale” signs on used car lot clunkers, it doesn’t mean everyone else is...
“’There will be an outcry from those on the right who will say that Obama’s nomination, made two weeks into his presidency, is impossible to justify, but I think such an outcry will sound like right-wing whining,’ Huckabee wrote”
Did it sound like right-wing whining when Obama himself said he doesn’t deserve it? All we’re doing is agreeing with him.
Republicans continue to be the only party that cares what the other guys think about them. They think they’re in a chess match when they’re actually involved in guerilla warfare.
The news comes at the same time that Gibbs is saying that we will work with the Taliban. Appeasement in our lifetime.
Don’t get knocked off news.
When Obama does something to deserve our congratulations, then we’ll see. Until then, shut up Huck.
Mike, I’m not whining, I’m laughing. I mean, even the Norwegian Nobel hacks didn’t put forth a plausible reason for this award, so asking the Dems to have one is just mean.
We are not children and we do not live under Obama or Norwegian rule. My proper response is take your place next to lying Al Gore and Kofi Anon who corrupted Oil for food.
And oh yeah, Committee members, I guess you want Obama to end the war in Afghanistan?
Boycott their country. I am ashamed I have their blood running through my veins.
Vertical stripes have a slimming effect. Or so I’m told.
Hey, Huck! Who follows your way of Rino thinking. WE speak truth and YOU BOW TO DECEPTION! So much for your Christian values.
God forbid that the people who are routinely called “rightwing extremists” should allow themselves to be called “rightwing.”
Thank you
Exactly. That is the sound of LAUGHTER you hear, not whining1
They'll smell better to their Dem pals, but they'll stink to us.
Hey Huckabee, were we supposed to congratulate Yasir Arafat, billionaire terrorist, when HE won the Nobel Prize?
Laura Ingraham was right—conservatives are better off without a “leader,” at least morale is better.
Goodbye Huck.
“Whining??
Were deliriously HAPPY!!”
It’s hard to believe Huck could have missed that fact. This is not your average “Boo-hoo, MSNBC is rough on Bush” sort of thing. This is so ridiculous, so over the top, that we are verily bursting with enthusiasm. We couldn’t have put it better ourselves. The Nobel Peace Prize says more about Obama’s emptiness and the emptiness of the international lefty establishment than we could ever hope to say.
