Obama administration officials said Wednesday there is no chance that ACORN will get a Homeland Security grant it was awarded last month because of a provision in a bill signed into law last week prohibiting any federal funding to the controversial group.
Several members of Congress said they were pleased that ACORN will not get the money, which would have come from funding typically earmarked for fire departments across the country, but they questioned why it had been awarded to ACORN in the first place. At least one also still wants official assurance of a permanent withdrawal of the $997,402 fire safety grant.

I suspicion the only reason the rats have been cooperative in defunding ACORN is because they've already, long ago, octopussed into myriad other groups = or names for the same group - to cover just such a contingency should ACORN finally get caught up with.

Most Conservatives are well aware of the SYMPTOMS of our 'National Decline Syndrome' as exhaustively discussed throughout the alternative media. However, fewer seem aware of its root causes — or effective solutions; therefore reflexively continue to treat the symptoms when more systemic, fundamental remedies are desperately needed: like getting into (and generationally preparing for spending time in) public service. The opposition has been running for and getting into positions of: authority, writing and passing ordinances and legislation to gain control of taxes, education and social and economic policy for DECADES. Eventually in numbers to dictate how the rest of us live (or else...).
Reversing that trend is the road map back to Constitutional gov’t and the USA of our forebearers.
As Reagan stated: “There ARE simple solutions, there are just no EASY ones.”
So: “What are we going to do about it?” - IS and remains the question.

ACORN funding starts up again on Nov 1 2009

So - call into or Email EVERY local and nat’ly syndicated Conservative talk show out there (all are streamed on the internet - so all are available to get on) and raise HOLY HELL about it ! A) It’s PERTINENT; B) It’s NEEDED and WARRANTED; C) It’ll be exactly on point, informative and motivational to TEAM USA (aside from being FANTASTIC programming from a broadcast standpoint). Besides, the life or death of our USA is at stake - so take the gloves off. The time for formalities has come and gone long ago. We’re being mugged and raped legislatively by truly evil Progressives; it’s time to do what’s NECESSARY in our own defense and for our very survival.
HCAN, SEIU, and other ACORN affiliates have not been blacklisted...yet.
