John McCain's campaign is still being audited by the Federal Elections Commission, while Obama – the only presidential candidate in history since the public finance system was established to decline public funds during the general election – may have escaped similar scrutiny by the FEC.
An FEC spokesman told WND that the commission is obligated to complete an audit of McCain's campaign because he received public funds during the general election.
"Under regulations, that is automatically audited by the FEC once you receive public funds," he said. "For the Obama committee, there's a possibility, just like with any other committee, that he could be audited. He didn't receive public funds, but the commission has jurisdiction to audit his committee."
Asked whether the FEC has plans to audit the Obama campaign as well, he said, "We wouldn't be able to comment on that until after any audit report was finalized. I couldn't even confirm or deny whether that's happening."

The cheating at the Obama campaign was clear to the dullest eye.
It was widely known, and detailed on the web, that they turned off their credit-card checking apparatus, so that fake names and multiple donations could be made without being noted.
It was widely known that donations were given by such names as Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, and that nothing was done about it.
It was widely known that they had massive foreign donations.
So, if the FEC didn’t say anything back then, they certainly aren’t going to say anything now.

My guess is that Eric Holder will Personally pick the auditors...Or, how about Obama can appoint Auditing Czar. While Obama/Dems. are in charge, we will never know the truth. Our only chance is if the media actually begins investigating and reporting instead of drooling and defending.
The FEC needs to take a hike. They don’t enforce the laws. They don’t prosecute those who attempt to steal (or buy) votes. They don’t prosecute those who attempt to intimidate voters. They don’t vet candidates to see that they are elligible for the offices they seek. They restrict free (political) speech.
The FCC needs to be disbanded too. If Dan Rather’s manufactured October Surprise didn’t result in reprisal against CBS, nothing is worth prosecuting.

No candidates should be audited. Before, during or after the campaign. Any law mandating any such thing is unconstitutional on its face.
