Former House majority leader Tom Delay, who last night dropped out of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," has once again expressed skepticism that President Obama is a citizen of the United States.
That aligns DeLay, a Republican once known as "The Hammer," with the so-called "birther" movement. The birthers' claims have repeatedly been shown to be illegitimate.
Newsweek noted in an interview with DeLay that he "got into some trouble for saying on TV that you weren't sure President Obama was born in the United States."
"What I said was, to answer a question from Chris Matthews, I said: Why wouldn't the president of the United States show the American people his birth certificate?," DeLay responded. "You have to show a birth certificate to play Little League baseball. It's a question that should be answered. It's in the Constitution that you have to be a natural-born citizen of the United States to be president."
Asked Newsweek: "Do you think he isn't a citizen?"
"I have no idea," said DeLay.

There really are some valid reasons why Obozo hasn't produced a birth certificate.

I’m suspecting that when his Marxist mentors burned his past, they got to his birth certificate as well. It’s not in Hawaii’s file drawers any more.
Willfully misunderstanding the issue. His citizenship is not the issue. His status as "natural-born" is what matters.

I don’t know if this even an accurate record of the conversation. There are two major camps in the birther ranks. Some think the problem is that Bummer was born outside of the USA, while others think the problem is that Bummer was born in the USA but to foreign subjects.
Well, they do understand one condition that would disqualify the Bummer.
And then there's the third group who thinks that the first two are simply speculation, but who are nonetheless very suspicious and curious as to why Obama has gone to such lengths to hide his birth certificate and other records.
I think he did OK, though he might have improved on it by expounding on the finer points of natural born citizenship. (As if See BS News would have told us about it anyway.)
It mostly boils down to “Orly Taitz is a quixotic idiot.”
The Bummer’s progress from a Democrat hopeful to the Oval Office was one big buck-passing orgy and now we are wondering how this conundrum could ever happen in our (once) great country. Republicans as well as Democrats fell asleep or played possum at the switch.
I suspect the reason Obama hasn’t released his BC is because he doesn’t have one...he was probably born in a mud hut somewhere in Kenya with a tribal witch doctor shaking some bones over him.
Why, I thought he was in prison somewhere for crimes against humanity or some such. I recall he was ceremoniously removed from CONgre$$ as the most corrupt being on the face of the planet. What's he doing appearing in public on Dancing with the Stars and featured in a seeBS article?
That would certainly explain a lot!
And don’t forget the group that thinks Barry might be NBC technically, but spent his early adult years reaping the benefits of his Indonesian citizenship derived from his adoption by Lolo Soetoro, and never actually got a legal name change when he decided to become Barack Hussein Obama.
