Today, the Washington Post published a long profile of Orly Taitz. This is the nut job that's leading the birther movement. Taitz helms a very leaky swift boat. We should be forgetting her right about now.
Taitz was news or newsy this past summer. But why do we need a big story on her in October? Her power is only derived from free media attention. Did I mention that she's a nutjob?
A quick Nexis check reveals that Taitz has been mentioned, chronicled, and/or written about more than 400 times before WaPo decided to profile her. Other newspapers wrote about her more than 150 times. I'm not even going to delve into the number of blog items on this crazy. Let's just say she is very old news.
Meanwhile, there are far more powerful crazies that are worth the Post's attention like Sen. Jim DeMint and his travels to Honduras to support the military coup. The Post has devoted 556 words from one staff writer to the DeMint story.
Why bother with Ms. Taitz when the Daily Show got to her in July?
She’s an odd bird. She, at least originally, came at this game from the left.
Attack the messenger. Answer the basic question, where is the birth certificate?
Exactly. This authors poor attempt at smear says it all.
Show the birth certificate.
Is this a trick question?
It was hardly a military "coup". It was the legislative, judicial and military branches of government all agreeing that their executive had overstepped his authority in a material and dangerous way. They were following their Constitution, their executive office was not.
She’s catching more flack. She must be getting closer to the target.
Yea... she’s just crazy... actually expecting someone to provide proof of eligibility that is required by the Constitution
/sarcasm
ANYONE willing to spend $1m to keep people from getting their long form has something SERIOUS to hide
Who cares about the corrupt justice system, or whether or not Obama is an Usurper who has illegally taken control of the highest office in the nation, and is destroying this constitutional Republic.
Orly Taitz wasn't even born in this country, but she is more a patriotic American than those who attack her for demanding Obama produce the proof that he meets the requirements to hold the position.
Hmmm. 400 stories, yet the MSM has never once asked the boy marxist why he’s spending tax payer money hiding his birth certificate.
Encouraging words from the left. She's such an obvious joke that neither side can get any decent mileage.
An Orly-Taitz-whack-a-mole thread. What potential for fun! Anybody who disagrees with us gets lambasted for trolling an anti-Orly thread. Deal?
(Kidding, I’m kidding - but only about that last part.)
Or do we just keep flinging cheap insults?
Sounds like some sort of potato snack or something.
Let me get this straight. This writer complains about her having too much print and he does an article about her? Strange.
LOL! I am trying to warn some of the die-hards about stuff like that last “Affidavit”. Did you get a load of the last paragraph in that? Whew! You know, the day is going to come when they have to give up on Orly, and accept the fact that Obama is an American liberal, not a Kenyan liberal. When that day comes, we are going to have to do the mature thing and welcome them back into civilized society and refrain from telling them we told them so. They will be red-faced and embarrassed enough as it is.
parsy, the forgiving
No one article by the media. No one article even questioning it. BTW - were are the ACORN troll/ZOTs? This message has been up for a while.
No, she ain’t the potato chip, she’s the “dip.” She’s the head birther attorney and she is a loon. Her pleadings are generally crapola and sound like they are written by an 8 year old. If she loses, she starts calling judges names. Oh, its just a mess.
parsy, who says she reminds him of an Ed Wood movie
Wonder where this $1M figure comes from ..... recent reports I’ve read say that it’s government lawyers showing up i.e. paid for by you and me.
Where is the birth certificate?
“parcy who ... “
That’s damned annoying.

“The tendency to refer to oneself in the third person is often viewed by psychologists as a symptom of narcissism.”
tumblindice, who just ran out of chewing gum
“Meanwhile, there are far more powerful crazies that are worth the Post’s attention like Sen. Jim DeMint and his travels to Honduras to support the military coup.”
Yeah, supporting a democracy is soooooooooo crazy.
That’s hilarious!
parsy, who says thanks for the link
These liberals think that we are all ignorants.
I only wish that the USA judicial and military have the guts to do the same thing when the time comes.
Imagine this in a courtroom and you have Orly:

parsy, who is fascinated by her
Good comparison. Another nut who got nowhere with delusional demands.
Her pleadings are generally crapola and sound like they are written by an 8 year old.
Don’t know old this dude is but it is proported he writes at least some of the stuff for her.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/10/05/AR2009100503819.html .. Burden of Proof
......It’s a lot to take on, but she has help; assisting with her legal filings is Charles E. Lincoln III, a disbarred lawyer and self-described “anarchist.” Leaving the office, Lincoln gets in the back seat and Taitz maneuvers her Lexus through the tidy “Real Housewives”-type landscape to a bakery with outdoor seating. For five hours she will discuss her legal crusade, eventually moving to lunch at T.G.I. Friday’s. .... end snip
Charles E Lincoln III

Nope. She is the target.
Typical Marxist “Nut and Slut” strategy.
I bet Larry Flint's minions are digging through Orly's trash looking for any evidence ( regardless of how slim) for the “Slut” part of the attack.
No, she really is a nutjob.
That's not why they said she was a nutjob.
As if we didn't need more proof of the author's political bent.
Just reinforces what I’ve thought about her all along. I have worked in courtrooms and am a paralegal student. I have written more coherent homework assignments than she has submitted to the court. She is not a hero. She is a publicity hog.
peanut oil and nude women?
The last two pleadings I read were a great improvement, so I suspect he wrote them. But have yo seen the ones where she compares Judge Land to the southern judges of the Old South? most of her stuff is bizarre.
parsy, who kinda likes bizarre
You can’t have worked much in court nor read many court briefs. you are a joke.
If you had worked in court any lenght of time, you would know that lawyers write badly and make mistakes. courts don’t even really care these days. Your credibility is therefore very, very suspicious.
The fact is you have never seen a court doc or not many. You are a shill.
"Swift boating" is a leftist term for telling the embarrassing truth in the face of a hostile press and a pathologically dishonest Marxist opposition.
Go Orly!
I generally ignore the birther threads so it is no surprise that I am not familiar with her.
OMG, she’s hilarious. I was trying to find the pleading where she cited an AOL poll, but couldn’t. Here is her response to a show cause order:
parsy, who thinks this was written by her assistant and is better than Orly’s usual stuff
Do tell. How have you kept your status as a shill secret for sooooooo many years on FR? That’s simply amazing. /s
And who exactly am I shilling for?
I’m a shill because I am not an Orly Taitz fan?
Oh, really. And your expertise in these matters is...?
You could draw a parallel with the whole birth certificate question. It should have been dealt with during the campaign. That it wasn't doesn't mean it should just go away.
However much or little there is in it, the media shouldn't be able to simply dismiss matters it avoided talking about earlier by simply saying, "That's old news."
