Does Orly Taitz Need Any More Publicity?
Washington City Paper ^ | 10/6/09 | Jason Cherkis

Posted on 10/06/2009 1:28:47 PM PDT by steve-b

Today, the Washington Post published a long profile of Orly Taitz. This is the nut job that's leading the birther movement. Taitz helms a very leaky swift boat. We should be forgetting her right about now.

Taitz was news or newsy this past summer. But why do we need a big story on her in October? Her power is only derived from free media attention. Did I mention that she's a nutjob?

A quick Nexis check reveals that Taitz has been mentioned, chronicled, and/or written about more than 400 times before WaPo decided to profile her. Other newspapers wrote about her more than 150 times. I'm not even going to delve into the number of blog items on this crazy. Let's just say she is very old news.

Meanwhile, there are far more powerful crazies that are worth the Post's attention like Sen. Jim DeMint and his travels to Honduras to support the military coup. The Post has devoted 556 words from one staff writer to the DeMint story.

Why bother with Ms. Taitz when the Daily Show got to her in July?

She’s an odd bird. She, at least originally, came at this game from the left.

Attack the messenger. Answer the basic question, where is the birth certificate?

"Meanwhile, there are far more powerful crazies that are worth the Post's attention like Sen. Jim DeMint and his travels to Honduras to support the military coup"

It was hardly a military "coup". It was the legislative, judicial and military branches of government all agreeing that their executive had overstepped his authority in a material and dangerous way. They were following their Constitution, their executive office was not.

Attack the "nutjob" and ignore the corruption in the courts, and ignore the basic question- Where's your birth certificate Obama?

Who cares about the corrupt justice system, or whether or not Obama is an Usurper who has illegally taken control of the highest office in the nation, and is destroying this constitutional Republic.

Orly Taitz wasn't even born in this country, but she is more a patriotic American than those who attack her for demanding Obama produce the proof that he meets the requirements to hold the position.

Encouraging words from the left. She's such an obvious joke that neither side can get any decent mileage.

If Birthers are crazy because they want to see Obama’s birth certificate then wouldn't it be incumbent upon a kind and decent person to show them the birth certificate in order to relieve what ails them?

Or do we just keep flinging cheap insults?

LOL! I am trying to warn some of the die-hards about stuff like that last “Affidavit”. Did you get a load of the last paragraph in that? Whew! You know, the day is going to come when they have to give up on Orly, and accept the fact that Obama is an American liberal, not a Kenyan liberal. When that day comes, we are going to have to do the mature thing and welcome them back into civilized society and refrain from telling them we told them so. They will be red-faced and embarrassed enough as it is.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/10/05/AR2009100503819.html .. Burden of Proof

......It’s a lot to take on, but she has help; assisting with her legal filings is Charles E. Lincoln III, a disbarred lawyer and self-described “anarchist.” Leaving the office, Lincoln gets in the back seat and Taitz maneuvers her Lexus through the tidy “Real Housewives”-type landscape to a bakery with outdoor seating. For five hours she will discuss her legal crusade, eventually moving to lunch at T.G.I. Friday’s. .... end snip

Typical Marxist “Nut and Slut” strategy.

I bet Larry Flint's minions are digging through Orly's trash looking for any evidence ( regardless of how slim) for the “Slut” part of the attack.

You can’t have worked much in court nor read many court briefs. you are a joke.

If you had worked in court any lenght of time, you would know that lawyers write badly and make mistakes. courts don’t even really care these days. Your credibility is therefore very, very suspicious.

The fact is you have never seen a court doc or not many. You are a shill.

You could draw a parallel with the whole birth certificate question. It should have been dealt with during the campaign. That it wasn't doesn't mean it should just go away.

However much or little there is in it, the media shouldn't be able to simply dismiss matters it avoided talking about earlier by simply saying, "That's old news."
