Cindy Sheehan Moving to Washington (D.C.)
ABC News ^ | Tuesday, October 6, 2009 | Yunji de Nies and Sunlen Miller

Posted on 10/06/2009 10:48:35 AM PDT by kristinn

ABC News’ Yunji de Nies and Sunlen Miller report: She’s back and this time, she’s here to stay. Cindy Sheehan says she is moving to Washington. The anti-war activist was outside the White House for the second day in a row, with a bullhorn and a handful of protestors, shouting against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Guantanamo and calling for “health care not warfare.”

Sheehan became a prominent voice against the Iraq war after her son Special Casey Sheehan was killed in Iraq 2004, and spent years hounding George W. Bush. Now, she’s turned her attention to President Barack Obama, recently following him on his family vacation to Martha’s Vineyard, and now planning to move to D.C. sometime this winter. Sheehan says she sees no difference between the foreign policy of the last president and this one.

SNIP

“We’re going to create a movement that’s going to demand a change of policy,” she said, explaining that her plan is to create large, coordinated acts of civil resistance, “It’s going to be massive.”

I want the U.S. to win the war. Cindy wants us to lose. Despite the schadenfreude factor, I won't cheer this move by her (well, not too much at any rate.)

DC is not a cheap area to live in.

Who pays her way?

Who pays her way?

Indeed, inquiring minds want to know.

Why didn’t she stand out on the sidewalk with her bullhorn as the president went to Date Night II?

Yeah, me too, but mine are explosive and violent.

Hers will be different! Large, and coordinated. Pure and peaceful. And, in her own words, ““It’s going to be massive.”

I hope she makes it tapered at the trailing end so her “caucus” doesn’t slam shut... that could be quite painful.

Poor Cindy. The Dems dropped her off in Nov 2008 and she just doesn’t understand that she was supposed to just be quiet and go away. Lovely isn’t it.

I’m cheering that she’s finally out of California.
Beyond that, it doesn’t matter what she does. She has no impact.
She and the anti-war left no longer have the media’s support, now that a Democrat lives in the White House.

You go, girl! You tell that nasty, war-monger Bush to get a clue!

Oh, wait, Bush isn’t there anymore. Well, then, Obambi is gonna make everything be OK, dontchaknow dat, girl?

It’s OK for soldiers to die when Obambi lies...

There must be someway to find this out who finances her. Our ‘leaders’ should be on this, but we know that might rock the boat.
