State Senator Anthony Galluccio was cited Monday for leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly collided with a vehicle carrying three people on Sunday afternoon in Cambridge and then fled. Galluccio, a Cambridge Democrat, collided with the other vehicle at about 5:30 p.m. as he was driving around Garden and Linnaean streets, said officer Frank Pasquarello, spokesman for the Cambridge Police Department.

My sister sent me that Internet joke going around — officeholders should be limited to two terms: one in office, and one in jail. I emailed back that in MA, it would save time to skip the term in office and just send them to jail.

Another case of Cambridge cops acting stupidly, I’m sure.

State Senator Anthony Galluccio was cited Monday for leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly collided with a vehicle carrying three people on Sunday afternoon in Cambridge and then fled. He was probably worried that once the police showed up,...they would act stupidly.

Was he juiced? Sounds like a Ted Kennedy wanna-be.
He should be kicked out of the Senate for this.
To: Nathan Zachary
Was he juiced?
They can’t say because he left the scene, again this is his third driving offense.
He should really consider national office.
To: Sparky1776
As they continue to ratchet up the penalties for lower and lower-level DUI, drunks will find more and more incentive to take the risk of a misdemeanor “leaving the scene” prosecution in an effort to avoid a full-court-press DUI prosecution.

Galluccio, a former Cambridge mayor, has twice been convicted of driving under the influence, in 1984 and 1997.

"Galluccio, a Cambridge Democrat... I admit it. My first thought whenever I see a headline like this is: please don't be a Republican. I know that if it's a Democrat is will swept under the media rug, but if it's Republican, it will become a campaign ad and a media mantra.

His party affiliation wasn’t mentioned in the headline or first paragraph - so we can assume he’s a dem, right?
