BOSTON -- New evidence has surfaced as the case that has rocked the Boston Police department heads back to the courtroom Monday.
The focus of the proceedings at Dorchester District Court will center on cell phone calls and text messages that the alleged victim made.
A married pregnant Boston police officer has gone to court to ask for an extension of a restraining order against a fellow officer who she has claimed raped her several times while the pair were at a shooting competition in Connecticut this summer.
Newscenter 5 has learned the female Boston officer did not report her alleged rape to Farmington, Conn., police or to Boston police.
The female Boston officer said she was threatened and raped repeatedly, but still hasn't pursued criminal charges against her alleged attacker.
I think the most unusual part is the fact that there have been no criminal charges brought in either jurisdiction at this point in time, said criminal defense attorney Edward Ryan, who is not involved in the case.
There have been no criminal charges filed, but the alleged victim is testifying in a hearing to extend a restraining order.
"He would shoot my husband in the head from 50 feet away and no one would know," she has told a judge about alleged threats made against her.
Her name and the name of her alleged attacker have not been released because no criminal charges have been filed.
The married female Boston cop said she was threatened into having sex with a member of the department's elite SWAT team, who allegedly raped her three times over two days in a Connecticut hotel room.
NewsCenter 5 has learned the Boston police department paid for the room that the pair shared with a third male officer.
The trip was an annual SWAT team shooting competition and was sponsored by the BPD. The department paid for the two male officers, both of whom are members of the SWAT team, but did not pay for the female officer, who went on her own.
The female officer testified last Thursday that she was afraid of the officer, but NewsCenter 5 has also learned she initiated phone calls and sent text messages to her alleged attacker during the time she said she was being raped.
The content of those text messages is going to play a large role in this hearing, Ryan said.
The alleged victim also claims she was raped multiple times when she returned to Boston and is now pregnant with her alleged attacker's child.
The fact that she became pregnant might have put her in a state of mind, for example, that she didn't know what to do or what to say," Ryan said.
I find it incedible that any human being would knowing ruin someone else’s life in order to protect their own skin. Unbelievable.
Unfriggen real. That she is still married is beyond belief. Her hubbie is one dumb assed individual.
Well, first we have to determine if it was rape or rape-rape.
Is nobody outraged any more that these are two people fooling around immorally — forget the spicy details like they are cops or that they did pillow talk via text message or whatever. (Same goes for the Letterman incidents, where the big buzz seems to be about the fact that Letterman did it at CBS.)
The fact that she became pregnant might have put her in a state of mind, for example, that she didn’t know what to do or what to say,” Ryan said.
What kind of stupid sexist comment is that????
This one stinks to high heaven...I’m callin bs on the woman’s tale.
Believe it. She got caught screwing around and wants to blame someone else. BPD has plenty of rejects in it like any other department.
It’s been going on since there were people, and you still find it incredible?
I don’t think the outrage you wish to see, exists in all people.
Damn.50 feet. Those Boston SWAT guys are good!
;-)
God wants to see it
Umm...am I the only one who thought “If this coop can’t protect herself how on earth is she supposed to protect my family?”
Remember Joseph, son of Israel, and Potifer's wife?
When he turned her down she accused him of rape and had him thrown in prison. He eventually ended up controlling Egypt; so things seemed to work out alright, for him.
That is what a lot of people are saying. They showed her in court from the back and she appeared small and her voice was kind of mousey. She didn’t seem like a cop nevermind an elite cop on the SWAT team.
This is a can of worms for the Boston Police. Lots of questions here.
What makes you think that? Doesn’t He already see everything, even whether a person will be outraged over something or not?
No, I don’t really remember them.
This one stinks to high heaven. When my department sends male and female officers on training the together, the females always get their own rooms. The males have to double up unless the hotel rates are really cheap...
Wonder if those text messages said, "Stop, Stop, I repeat - Stop'".
Did it ever occur to this “officer” that if the rapist was sent to prison he would have a hard time shooting her husband?
Maybe her husband works within 50 feet of the prison. ; )
I find it incredable that a married female officer would go to the competition on her own dime and stay in a motel room with two SWAT guys.
After that start to the two days.................
The force sponsored the two male officers. She went on her own and shacked up with the two male officers.
I think after she turned up prego she had to come up with a story he husband would believe.
She meant to text "stop, don't!," but it transmitted as "don't stop!"
Because it’s the truth.
OK
Just remember: Diversity is our Greatest Strength.
Don't think about it, don't question it, it's just true, okay?
