What Michelle Obama didn't tell the Olympics Committee

While Michelle Obama fruitlessly pimped (oh ok, shilled, promoted) her corrupt, broke and now nationally known violent, native town, as a site for the 2016 Olympics, for the first time in her life she was seemingly proud of it.

Her neighborhood

"of working families -- families with modest homes and strong values.Sports were what brought our community together. They strengthen our ties to one another."

It was also, and still is, a relatively high crime neighborhood. It is a testimony to Michelle and her parents that she emerged relatively unscathed except with a huge, but somewhat understandable, chip on her shoulder. Many of the proposed venues for the games would be in or near her old neighborhood she noted, which is also not far from her former employer, the University of Chicago, an institution, which for some reason never reached out to her as a "promising student" as she once whined.

She continued her plea.

The 'neighborhood' from which she fled to an underpriced crony-supplied mansion so she could work at an overpaid patronage job at a university hospital encouraging poor people to use 'other' hospitals. Yeah! I guess she is proud of that.

Michelle Obama is a PR disaster every time the Obama camp lets her out of her guilded cage with 27 paid synchophants and servants.

To brag, in Copenhagen and before the world, that your father taught you how to fight dirty in the streets of Chicago, land left hooks, and other rhetoric withing days of two students in Chicago being savagely beaten (one to death with planks and boards) is the height of being morally and politically tone deaf.

Someone lock her back up in the West Wing, get her a few alcoholic drinks, let her go shopping for hideous outfits, and get ready for another taxpayer financed "date night" somewhere.

I have been looking for the transcript. The only person I heard talking about it was Michael Medved on his radio show. Medved is a very thoughtful man, and he usually does not go off half cocked. He was incredulous at her choice of words in the wake of the beatings and the one murder in Chicago.

What she didn’t tell them is the context that the author is supplying, I suppose. He doesn’t come right out and say “she didn’t them that Chicago is a crime ridden, corrupt hell-hole.”

Carl Lewis ran in the 1980 Olympics? For which country? Under what pseudonym? If Michelle Obama sat on her Daddy's lap cheering on Carl Lewis in the Olympics, the earliest date would have been 1984, making her 20.

Even if you can disregard the creepy aspect, or get over the ridiculous picture of a 6 ft. woman of substantial heft sitting on the lap of a man with Multiple Sclerosis....

...there's evidence she and her father weren't even located in the same time zone during the summer of '84. (Unless her father was attending summer camp in New York, where she was a counselor.) Political columnist Lynn Sweet reported in August of last year that Michelle worked at Camp ABC for the Fresh Air Fund.

Bottom line is, no one's "running after" this as an issue, if the issue is where her large rump was in the summer of '84. It is, however, wholly legitimate to notice when the the First Lady of the U.S. tells deliberate whoppers for self-serving reasons while on the national stage.

4. Any additional aircraft for First Lady's party, for folks like family, press, dog, Secret Service?

5. Amount Opra is reimbursing the USA for her envolvement and that of her staff for #1 - #4, above?

6. Amount the Chicago Olympic Committee is reimbursing the USA for the First Lady's envolvement and that of her staff for #1 - #4, above?

B - POTUS

1. True and total unhidden cost of Air Force One for the trip to and from Copenhagen?

2. Cost and detailed list of accompanying staff currently on the US payroll?

C - Total net expense for "A" & "B" to the USA Tax Payers?

All I ask for a a true and honest (if that is not redundant!) of this "excercise" to the American Public. I'd be interested to also know who has personal vested interests in the possible favorable outcome for this adventure, specifically relating to the possible sale of real estate and other servicees should the Chicago Olympic Committee - 2016 be successful.

That's all I ask. Starting to think of the length of time a snow flake or many snow flakes can survive in Hell while I await the answer to the forgoing questions.

When will someone in the "main stream" news business address any of these questions and share the results with us.

I agree. And on top of it, the speech would have passed through about 20 hands minimum before she delivered it in Copenhagen. Not one thought to double check when these athletes competed? Pretty basic stuff. Normal, honest people do fact checking to make sure their memories are accurate....because normal people think the truth matters. When making up a story, you'd check the facts just to cover your rear. They're not just liars, but incompetents as well.

And thanks for the hat tip at #31. The people who think the incident is minor or nitpicky either do not understand the critical nature of character in government, or they don't care. This is enormously instructive info about this administration, and absolutely salient to issues far graver than the Olympics.

I believe they wrote it on purpose, left it in the speech on purpose, because they knew it would sound good and they’d never get called on it. Just like the Clintons. The only reason Hillary got called out on her “flying in under hostile fire” comment was because the State Run Media had already decided Obama was their man.
