Is God back? While watching the Glenn Beck program, three women, yes I said three, boldly proclaimed their Christianity and how their decision to follow Christ has affected their politics. Other than religious programs, people do not talk about their faith on TV without being portrayed as fanatics or nut cases. It was truly refreshing. Could this mean God is back from exile from the public square?
square, "no" to politicians who ignore the Will of the people, "no" to secular progressives and "no" to dead beats who think they are entitled due to their skin color, sex, economic status or whatever. "Enough!" is the battle cry of millions of Tea Party protesters.

He occasionally appears on Forbes on Fox and the other financial shows on Fox Saturday mornings, and he's really good - very insightful and easy to undersand for us non-economists.
Going along to get along got us in this mess. God did not put us here to be comfortable.
Great article. Glen Beck’s show lastnight was a good one. The word is spreading.

We took out the ten commandments, and replaced them with snoop dawg & mnm.
And we act surprised when we don't get new generations of Mozarts, and Beethovens.
Interesting
Our republic is in dire danger. But there is hope.
I have a suggestion, why not use the song “We Shall Overcome?”
I just joined the asamom.org site that Laura had started on Wednesday and was mentioned on the Friday show. They are up to over 30,000 members in 3 days. Awesome site for anyone interested
Good article. Americans are tired of the looters. The biggest ones being the governments.(sic)
I saw Beck’s show with Charles Payne. I truly wish Charles would have had the chance to expand his thoughts on the “peer” pressure in the hood. I see similar conditions creeping into our schools where even the WASP’s are beginning to be influenced by the “Oreo” and “chocolate drop” mindset. This of course doesn’t apply to those wanting to get ahead in acceptable endeavors, like sports and dealing. Maybe Glenn will allow him to flesh out his observations on another show. The results of the creeping cancer can and will be disastrous if not removed from the schools.
You're a mom, pandy, you had better check it out. :-)
Charles is really smart, and I agree he’s really easy to understand. And .. I love his great sense of humor.
Awesome read!
Excellent article...
Charles V. Payne, remember this name.
>>I have a suggestion, why not use the song We Shall Overcome?<<
C’mon, give Conservatives more credit for originality. I understand the CONCEPT of the original Tea Party. It’s time we came up with something of our own. Something that future generations will remember with gratitude.
Every movement has had its unique identifier. From the original Tea Party to the Suffragests, from the Abolitionists to the Civil Rights, each had its own distinctive characteristic.
For those of us who support the Tea Party goals, something along the lines of “Can You Hear Us Now?”, or “I REFUSE” or “A quarter is all the change I got”.
There are plenty of great minds right here that can think of something better than borrowing from past movements.

Paine is very likable and Beck would move even higher at 7.
bttt Charles Payne
Amen!
Great piece and a fine American. Why do I think he’s a fan of Thomas Sowell?
I’ve never met him and I’m sure he is a fine fellow but I’ve always been uncomfortable with people whose primary claim to fame is “Look at me, I’m a black conservative/republican!” and never pass up a moment to shout it out.
Mr. Marcus states that he is opposed to people who think they should get special treatment due to their skin color but this seems to be exactly what he is suggesting by constantly reminding people he is black and conservative.
The implied premise is this person is special and rare which reinforces the position of liberals that the republican party and conservatives in general are antogonostic to blacks and that is why there are so few on this side of the spectrum.
I also think it is not good when this happens because it plays into the minds of people who may in fact be racist or subconciously have doubts about it because it gives them a fig leaf to paper over that reality. Mr. Marcus then becomes the “token” black in the movement.
I guess my suggestion to Mr. Marcus is to quit proclaiming your blackness and just be a conservative. People can see that you’re black and by your actions and words know you are conservative. We’re not too stupid to connect the dots and when you make a point of the obvious it over and over again it reinforces negative inferences.

Apologize for the off color nature of the graphic but it just sortof fits my thoughts on the matter. ;^)
Your point of view is certainly a reasonable one, and could be helpful to Mr. Marcus.
My suggestion would be to share your thoughts with Mr. Marcus. I would be interested to know how he responds, if you wouldn’t mind sharing that here.

“We are here, we are America, get used to it!”
:o)
Mr. Payne is also an unrepentant capitalist and fan of small government.

☺
Good article.......
I've watched him for some time, likable and sensible. My first impression was that he had come from a very good, happy supportive middle-class background. When he appeared on Beck to talk about his childhood where he got beaten up every day for "acting white," I was somewhat shocked. His account was very moving.
Remember Kenneth Gladney, who got beat up outside a St. Louis townhall by black union thugs because Gladney was black and was stepping off the plantation?
Black people have a tougher time of it being conservative. They get abuse from family and friends for perceived lack of "racial solidarity." It takes more courage for them to show up than for someone white.
(This is why we should keep an eye out for them after the event has broken up, when they could be isolated and abused by "liberals")
Since Marcus gets a lot of grief because he's black and a conservative figure, he's got an important story to tell. And when he tells it, it'll give some other conservative black people support. Maybe they'll start showing up in better numbers to the parties.
Showing up should be Mr. Marcus’s statement. When he quits reminding me he’s black, I’ll quit reminding him that he has mislaced priorities..
I guess you both have freedom of speech. But a black conservative has to face a lot more obstacles just to “show up;” as you put it, than a white guy.
I comment on Mr. Marcus based on what he writes. I don’t profess to know anything about his life or what trouble or advantages he has had in his life. You, on the other hand, seem to know not only all that plus that my road in life has been such an easy one, you know, being white and conservative and all.
Congrats Sybil.
