Florida Rep. Alan Grayson, who has drawn fire for saying Republicans want Americans to "die quickly" if they get sick, expressed regret Friday for comparing the health care crisis to a "holocaust."
Grayson vowed not to use the term again in a letter he sent Friday to the Andrew Rosenkranz, Florida regional director of the Anti-Defamation League, a prominent Jewish organization that fights anti-Semitism.
Grayson evoked the Holocaust during a speech on the House floor Wednesday even though he wasn't referring to the genocide of European Jews in Nazi concentration camps during World War II.
"I call upon all of us to do our jobs for the sake of America, for the sake of those dying people and their families," Grayson said. "I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America."
Grayson, who is Jewish and says he has relatives who died in the Holocaust, said he wrote the letter to address the concerns his comments caused.
"In no way did I mean to minimize the Holocaust," Grayson wrote in the letter obtained by FOXNews.com. "I regret the choice of words, and I will not repeat it."

If I were a Republican in his district and he claimed I WANTED sick people to DIE FAST, there would be a confrontation AT LEAST! To clarify - I do NOT imply violence in any way on my part, but it would be very public and it would be unending.
Guys like this start BAD things, and the complete lack of adult supervision coming from his party on this is a new development that will cause something to happen sooner of later.
His stupidity, combined with HATE your opposition positions propogated by Pelosi et al, WILL (IMO) bring on a strong/harsh response AND that is not something I want to see.

I live in the district. Any fool could have told you what this guy was like based on the nasty campaign he ran against Keller. Yet I’ve seen freepers write about what a genius he is because he attacked the fed. They have no clue. They are just feeding these monsters.

Grayson is a perfect example of one whose mouth moves long before he engages what little brain he has.
Knuckledraggers like Grayson never miss an opportunity to “minimize” the Holocaust. It’s what they learned to do in college. Grayson could very well be the poster child for the rat party! He’s got that inquisitive look, he’s the picture of health and he looks a bit like quazimoto, oh yeah and his brain function is about as bright as your 15 watt refrigerator bulb just like his parasitic fiends. I say he’sa shoo in!

Funny that...I was just watching him being interviewed by Crap Matthews yesterday, beaming like a 2 year old who just leaned a hew bad word to get attention from the adults around him....Proud of how exorcised everyone was about him saying it over and over again. Determined to get a rise from saying it to every adult he saw.
