“Republicans have been ready with criticism”
What I am reading is his media supports, like the New York Times and CNN, are giving it to him more than Republicans.

It doesn’t sound logical for Republicans to be beefing about trying to get the Games in America. Is there a twist I have missed?

Emanuel: "I don't remember them criticizing President Bush when he went to China to watch the games and cheer America on." That's another difference between Bush and Obama:
Obama never roots for the American side.
To: Nachum
Not Obama’s fault. He inherited this mess.
