The Campaign Against Kevin Jennings Backfiring?
Washington Independent ^ | October 2, 2009 | DAVID WEIGEL

Posted on 10/02/2009 2:48:56 PM PDT by La Lydia

Media Matters staff has been all over the manufactured scandal haunting Kevin Jennings, the U.S. Department of Education’s director of the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools–a.k.a the “safe schools czar.” Jennings, who is gay, has been a target for months, but the very belated discovery of an anecdote in his book “One Teacher in 10″–in which he was told of a young student’s affair with an older man, but didn’t report it–has burned up in the conservative press.

First, Media Matters confirmed that the student was of legal age when he came to Jennings. Now, the group has a statement that really couldn’t be better for Jennings:

"I had no sexual contact with anybody at the time, though I was entirely legally free to do so. I was a sixteen year-old going through something most of us have experienced: adolescence. I find it regrettable that the people who have the compassion and integrity to protect our nation’s students are themselves in need of protection from homophobic smear attacks. Were it not for Mr. Jennings’ courage and concern for my well-being at that time in my life, I doubt I’d be the proud gay man that I am today."

TOPICS: Culture/Society
KEYWORDS: backfire; homosexualagenda; kevinjennings; nambla
Of course, Media Matters is an objective source for all of this material. Not. But I saw they have at least a dozen articles out there defending Jennings. Not much from the other side, except for Fox. (Unless, of course, Google News is only posting the Media Matters stuff and ignoring the rest). And now we know: 16 is the legal age for older men to prey on younger men in public restrooms, And guess what, the former victim is today a "proud gay man." Their recruitment efforts in mens rooms are obviously working out well. But do you want any of these people anywhere near your kids? And don't forget Jennings' groundbreaking stunner: "Queering Elementary Education."

I could see David Brock wanting to bang Jennings. The 15 year-old student could be a possibility as well.

Sounds to me like the victim is a politically aware gay who is trying to protect another one. I would not believe this is the truth.

The “Washington Independent” is itself a spinoff of Media Matters (they were originally located in offices right next to each other), and both are heavily funded by guys like George Soros, Wade Rathke, and their socialist ilk.

Is media matters getting quotes from the former student who has disclosed their name or are these anonymous quotes?

Yep. It always bothers me when anyone uses Media Matters as a source, and the Washington Independent is anything but. Bought and paid for propaganda organ of George Soros. “Agitprop is us”

Only a little fag like Weigel would think this propaganda from the fags at Media Matters protecting Obama’s fag czar would be of any use.

Also: wasn’t it Jennings that said the boy was 15-years-old?

Were it not for Mr. Jennings’ courage and concern for my well-being at that time in my life [when I was a young jail bait twink trolling bus stop restrooms to flirt with older men], I doubt I’d be the proud gay man that I am today [and available to provide flexible cover for his radic-lib past. Plus he is a hottie.]"

Nice massive support for NAMBLA and pedophiles from the ever-despicable Media Matters.

Never give them the benefit of the doubt. Any organization that would defend NAMBLA is corrupt to its core.

I love they really think “See see the kid was really SIXTEEN” and “I was praising his non-NAMBLA heroics” are valid defenses to anyone not cruising rest stop toilets themselves.

Jennings doesn't sound the type of person who should be trusted with anything having to do with education, except perhaps janitorial duties.

But there could be good reasons why he didn't report to authorities what the student told him in confidence that we aren't privy to.

If I were running a school, I wouldn't even let him as a janitor.

Just looking at those pictures of him gives me the creeps.

I don’t think a janitor who hangs out with NAMBLA is a good choice for any educational institution.

That statement helps Jennings????? I guess it depends on your point of view (aka - orientation).

If I remember correctly in many states 16 is the age that one can consider that consensual sex took place w/o it being rape or statutory rape and if the partner is over 18 it is considered to be statutory rape even if there was consent.

But did Kevin teach the lad how to “fist”? (a priority when it comes to teaching confused youth about the “gay culture”).
